Tips to process traumatic events in a healthy way? I saw someone killed in a hit and run today. Pedestrian. First on the scene. Horrific. It’s been 12 hours and I feel like I’m still panicking.
Trying to get my soon-to-be-son moved to the children’s hospital in our state but can’t because there is no room. The children’s hospital is completely full.
I was at home in Saudi Arabia watching TV with my mom. I had just finished my homework (it was afternoon there). We were worried for the safety of our compound and if our flights back to the US would be canceled. #WhereWereYou
Finally found a home health nurse to help care for our medically fragile toddler who is trach/ventilator dependent. Just found out they’re not vaccinated because they “already had Covid last fall.” 😭 Today we find out if they’re willing to get vaccinated or if we look again.

Today, I am completely sick of the “child welfare system”. More so than usual. It should not take 6+ months of paperwork to get a toddler out of a hospital and into the home of a family ready to welcome him. But arguments over who has to pay for his care take precedence 🤯
