Here are the facts regarding the deliberate sensationalism pushed by Arise News and online propagandists.
1) The judgment was delivered by Hon. Justice A. B. Kumalia at the Borno State High Court in Suit No. BOHC/MG/CR/154/2025 on May 5, 2026.
2) Liyatu Samuel Dawa was convicted under Section 210 of the Borno State Penal Code strictly for "depriving a parent the lawful custody of his child."
3) The victim is a MINOR, not an adult contrary to what is being peddled around.
4) The court established the victim was a minor who was lured away from her parents and removed from school, completely destroying the "consenting adult woman" media lie.
5) In the Allocutus admission, as seen in the Certified True Copy attached, Dawa herself pleaded for leniency by explicitly referring to the minor as a "victim" whom she "did not intend to cheat" and "only advised."
6) The Irrelevance of Consent as a defense. Even if the minor allegedly "confessed" or agreed to the conversion, a child cannot legally consent to abduction away from her lawful guardians.
The deceitful attempt by Arise to replace a vulnerable minor with an independent adult is a calculated media strategy to transform a straightforward child abduction conviction into a fabricated story of religious persecution.
We rely on the Certified True Copy of the court judgment, not manufactured internet outrage.
Let’s stick to the facts.

Abba, Atiku Abubakar’s son, is campaigning for Tinubu’s reelection. But some morons on the internet think they can stop me from campaigning for the same man as if they paid my school fees or they were sweating with me when I was struggling during my 200-level engineering drawing at ATBU Bauchi.
Keep your comments coming, you clueless, despicable asshats who don’t know how to think. When I am settled by next week, we can play this game properly.
Foolish sub-3-digit IQ morons, functional illiterates who think they can control my mouth.
Don’t go and face your life. Come and stop Jalo Abba from saying #ArewaforAsiwaju or #A4A.

Did you hear what he said? “My father isn’t a practicing Muslim.” He stands for nothing.
This is what I am saying when I say learn and discover Islam. Being born a Muslim is not enough anymore. The world has rolled backwards and deviations are everywhere.
When a father abandons his role as the spiritual anchor, the child is left defenseless against secular conditioning. At least, the family tried by enrolling him in a Madrasah. However, dropping a child at an Islamic school without active parental monitoring is a big failure.
You cannot hand over a mind that is not ready to learn and expect teachers to perform magic. Knowledge requires strict intentionality from the parent at home.
All the ignorance he displayed in this video is the direct result of a household where faith was treated as a cultural accessory instead of a lived reality.
He complained about restrictions and clothing and lacking free will. Just so you know, Islam is not a burden. The permissible things are way more than the prohibited. Halal is way more than Haram.
It is only the brain that Shaitan has touched that will say Haram is more, because of the destruction that is awaiting him. When you view divine boundaries as oppression, you have already lost the spiritual battle.
Imam Ibn al-Qayyim addressed this centuries ago in his book Tuhfat al-Mawdud bi Ahkam al-Mawlud. He wrote that the corruption of children comes mostly from the fathers. He explained that fathers neglect teaching their children the core obligations and the Sunnah of the religion, leaving them to waste away their youth.
By the time they grow up, they are of no benefit to themselves and they cannot even pray for their parents.
We must be intentional. We cannot survive on inherited faith. Seek knowledge and build a foundation that the secular world cannot wash away.
Allah knows best

It is telling how they suddenly changed the goalpost. There is no admission of error and no apology for the fake persecution narrative they tried to spread. Now that the court document proves it was a minor, they have shifted the entire debate to child marriage.
We all know what we are doing. lol 😂

Bismil'Lah, blessings and salutations upon or noble Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh).
Your question is a reasonable one, and the Sunnah is actually very clear on this matter.
The Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh) placed great emphasis on straightening the rows during congregational Salah.
1. Straightening the rows is part of perfecting Salah. He (pbuh) said:
سَوُّوا صُفُوفَكُمْ، فَإِنَّ تَسْوِيَةَ الصُّفُوفِ مِنْ تَمَامِ الصَّلَاةِ
"Straighten your rows, for straightening the rows is part of the perfection of prayer."
2. Closing the gaps is also established in the Sunnah. He (pbuh), in a narration said:
أَقِيمُوا الصُّفُوفَ وَحَاذُوا بَيْنَ الْمَنَاكِبِ وَسُدُّوا الْخَلَلَ وَلِينُوا بِأَيْدِي إِخْوَانِكُمْ
"Establish the rows, align your shoulders, fill the gaps, and be gentle with your brothers."
3. The Prophet (pbuh) specifically warned against leaving openings in the rows.
Anas ibn Malik RA narrated that the Messenger of Allah pbuh said:
رُصُّوا صُفُوفَكُمْ وَقَارِبُوا بَيْنَهَا ... فَإِنِّي لَأَرَى الشَّيْطَانَ يَدْخُلُ مِنْ خَلَلِ الصَّفِّ
"Stand close together in your rows and bring them near one another... for I see the devil entering through the openings in the row."
4. What about aligning the feet and shoulders? Anas RA further reported:
وَكَانَ أَحَدُنَا يُلْزِقُ مَنْكِبَهُ بِمَنْكِبِ صَاحِبِهِ وَقَدَمَهُ بِقَدَمِهِ
"Each of us would place his shoulder against the shoulder of his companion and his foot against his foot."
This demonstrates the Companions' practical implementation of the Prophet's instruction. However, it should not be misunderstood as an instruction to unnaturally spread one's legs or forcefully push against another worshipper. The objective is to maintain a straight, orderly and connected row.
So, what is the correct position?
Muslims should straighten their rows, align their shoulders, stand close together and fill the gaps before beginning congregational prayer. Deliberately leaving unnecessary spaces contradicts the Prophetic guidance.
However, scholars have differed over whether straightening the rows is obligatory or an emphatically recommended tradition of the prophet (pbuh). One should also not hastily declare another person's Salah invalid simply because there was a gap in the row.
As for politicians, movie scenes or anyone else, their practices would not be taken as the standard for Islamic worship. Our standard is the Qur'an and authentic Sunnah.
Allah says; "Indeed, Allah loves those who fight in His cause in a row as though they are a [single] structure joined firmly.” (Surah As-Saf 61:4).
May Allah increase us in beneficial knowledge and enable us to worship Him in accordance with the authentic teachings of His Messenger (pbuh).
And Allah knows best.
I want to ask a serious question about Islam, particularly concerning congregational prayer.
What we were taught is that when performing Salah in congregation, we should straighten our rows, align our feet and shoulders, and close the gaps between worshippers so that there is no space between them for the devil to come between us.
However, in Nigeria, especially among politicians and in many movies, I often see people praying in congregation while leaving noticeable spaces between them.
Can someone knowledgeable in Islam please explain this to me, preferably with authentic Hadith or Qur’anic evidence, so I can understand the correct Islamic position? I genuinely want to learn and understand this better.

Many people believe Islam oppresses women because of what they see in the media.
Islam gave women rights to inheritance, education, property, financial independence, and dignity long before many societies recognised these rights.

I am concerned by reports regarding the whereabouts of Imran U. Wakili and the circumstances surrounding his reported arrest by the police. While the full details remain unclear, every citizen is entitled to personal liberty, fair treatment and the protection of the law. Law enforcement must be conducted within constitutional limits, with due process and respect for fundamental rights.
I urge the relevant authorities to clarify the situation, establish Imran’s whereabouts and ensure that the circumstances surrounding this incident are properly addressed. Our democracy depends on institutions that uphold the law while protecting the rights and freedoms of every Nigerian. In a democracy, the freedom of speech and expression is sacrosanct.
Any government that is intimidated by the statements of its citizens is simply highlighting its own lack of confidence and insecurities. We anxiously await answers and expect Imran to be free and well. Sadly, this shameless acts of intimidation against opposition voices continues to be only policy position of certain governments, especially the Kaduna State Government of the day.

Pages of the Glorious Qur’ān today
Friday 30/10/26, Sūrah Yāsin (36): 13-40, tafakkur verse 36: 17
Theme: Lessons for Da'wah
وَمَا عَلَيْنَا إِلَّا الْبَلَاغُ الْمُبِينُ
“And our duty is only to convey [the message] clearly.”
LESSONS:
1. As a Dā'i (caller/preacher), you are accountable for delivering the message properly, not for forcing the outcome. In da‘wah, teaching, parenting, or advising a friend or colleague, once you have conveyed the truth clearly and with good intention, the response belongs to the listener and to Allah. This protects you from carrying other people’s choices as your personal failure.
2. The word al-mubīn means clear, plain, and unambiguous. The messengers did not rely on mystery, coercion, or complicated rhetoric. A simple, honest, well-explained word often reaches further than a long, heated argument. In classrooms, family discussions, or community talks, aim for plain speech that people can actually understand rather than impressive but confusing language.
3. Many people burn out because they treat every rejection as a personal defeat. This verse reminds us that the Prophet ﷺ and the messengers before him were only charged with conveyance; guidance is from Allah alone. You can continue your work, whether writing, lecturing, mentoring, or gentle reminders, without being crushed by immediate indifference or hostility. Do the work; leave the hearts to Him.
4. The messengers did not compel the people of the town. They stated the truth and stepped back. In modern life this counters the urge to control outcomes, whether as a parent, lecturer, community leader, or online voice. Invitation (da‘wah) and clear advice are required; compulsion and emotional manipulation are not. People remain free to accept or reject, and that freedom itself is part of the divine design.
5. The messengers faced threats of stoning yet still affirmed their duty. In academic work, preaching, or everyday counsel, the real measure is whether you have made the message accessible, accurate, and free of unnecessary ambiguity or distortion. A single clear conversation that someone later reflects on can outweigh a large gathering that left everyone confused. Focus on faithful delivery; the fruits may appear later, or in ways you never see.
These lessons are practical for educators, preachers, parents, and anyone who regularly shares knowledge or counsel. The verse keeps effort high while keeping the heart light.
O Allah, make me among those who convey Your message with clear statement, do not hold me accountable for the acceptance of hearts, make my conveyance purely for Your sake, and keep me firm upon it. Āmīn.
