haven't posted here in a while but i worked on this story about coverage path planning a while back! we got 30k+ plays on the mowing game which was sick (tho later i saw redditors complaining about how the physicality of irl mowing would majorly affect their strategy...fair)
Over 30,000 people have mowed our digital lawn so far, but only 16% found the perfect path. How close will you get to the optimal solution? Go ahead, touch grass.

To answer it, I spent this summer experimenting with effects like motion masking, blob tracking, optical flow, and motion blur

What’s the US’s “fourth” city? Boston, Cambridge, and Somerville are pretty clearly the top 3 but the 4th is more ambiguous. I feel like the main contenders are probably Hopkinton, Wellesley, Newton, or maybe NYC?

finally published this visual article on dithering (part 1)!
I had so much fun and learned a lot while making this. not only about dithering, but also about #threejs shaders. I hope you do too!
as usual, animated with #animejs
enjoy!

hello helloo just updated my site to include new projects! florinasutanto.com
other life updates: still doing parkour, saw sleigh bells, got lorde tix for sep, and starting an aerial acrobatics course at the circus arts center next week!
LOVED working on this crazy awesome project with crazy awesome people. thank you so much to @puddingviz and the team (@afishley_png, @jadiehm, and caitlyn) for sticking with this idea, it made my senior year super fun!
New project! Using 11 years of relationSHIP data from @ao3org, we break down why fanfic is hella gay and goes well beyond the source material. Just like fanfic, it’s told in chapters: 1. Slash, 2. Canon, 3. Real Person Fiction.
