I think we need to reflect on how some expressions of political Christianity can unintentionally create division and push people away, particularly when support for candidates is based more on policy alignment or a shared Christian label than on character. In my opinion, the midterm results offer a moment for that reflection.
Jesus dined with tax collectors and showed compassion to both Jews and Gentiles. His example reminds us that faith should be reflected in how we treat others, not simply in the labels we claim or the politics we support.
We should be careful not to endorse people simply because they tick the “Christian” box. Look beyond the label. Pay attention to their character, values and how they treat people.

My heart is so full. We’re going to find a way to get these songs out to you all as soon as possible. You need to experience what happened in that room! 😭❤️
May I never forget why I write songs, lead worship, and write devotionals. It has always been Jesus and His people. Some days are hard, but the goal has always been—and will always be—for Him to say, “Well done.”
The speed at which people go from celebrating you to trying to destroy you is frightening.
You didn’t meet their expectations. You said something they didn’t like. You may not have even said what they claim you said.
And suddenly, people feel entitled to mobilise a boycott, destroy your livelihood, attack your family and tear apart everything you’ve spent your life building.
All because they have a phone and an internet connection.

Don’t spend your life auditioning for acceptance or to be chosen.
Be rooted in God’s love.
