Today, Transnet participated in the Frank Dialogue, which explored the state of South Africa’s transport industry, with a focus on infrastructure, investment and public-private partnerships. Transnet Group Chief Operating Officer, Solly Letsoalo, joined a panel discussion on freight and logistics, engaging with the audience on operational performance, current terminal challenges and the interventions underway to address them, as well as Transnet’s plans to strengthen performance into the future. Earlier, the Minister of Transport Barbara Creecy highlighted the critical role of rail in growing the South African economy and emphasised the importance of rail reform in ushering in a new era for the industry.
