Replacing physical door keys with smartphone apps in an independent living building isn't "modernization." It’s negligence masquerading as tech innovation.
My 84-year-old grandmother lives in an apartment complex where mostly retirees reside. Two months ago, corporate ownership bought the property and swapped every single deadbolt for a "smart access" digital lock system.
No more brass keys. You have to open an app, connect via Bluetooth, and swipe to unlock your front door.
Last Thursday, she walked down to the lobby at 7:30 PM to grab her mail in her slippers. Her phone died in her cardigan pocket.
She got back to her door and was locked out in the hallway.
She walked down to the front desk. The office closed at 5:00 PM. She picked up the emergency wall phone. The automated recording said: "To report a maintenance lockout, please submit a ticket through the Resident Connect portal or wait until regular business hours."
An 84-year-old woman sat on a carpeted hallway floor for three and a half hours until a neighbor coming home from a late shift spotted her.
Human civilization spent four thousand years perfecting the brass key a piece of notched metal that works in an ice storm, requires zero electricity, never needs a software update, and never runs out of battery.
We replaced it with a digital failure point so an out-of-state landlord could save thirty dollars on a locksmith.
Why are we allowing basic physical shelters to become dependent on apps?

Everybody with relatives in nursing homes should read this:
Voting in nursing homes and other long-term-care facilities deserves special attention because some residents may be taken advantage of or may rely on others for help, but it is THEIR vote!
The Election Integrity Network is warning families about situations where vulnerable residents could be registered, assisted, or have ballots handled without their knowledge or consent.
NOTE: New Dr. Oz and CMS guidance reinforces that residents have the right to vote or decline to vote and that facilities must protect them from coercion, improper influence, and unauthorized action.
If you have a parent, grandparent, or loved one in residential care, knowing these protections matters. Families should understand who is assisting residents, what facility policies are in place, and whether their loved one’s choices are truly being respected.
I’ve personally witnessed these abuses in California. They’re real.

The New York Times, the anti-Trump co-conspirators' mouthpiece, has spent a week telling you two things: that the documents the White House released on October 5 were "already known," (i.e. don't read them) and that the crimes of 2016 have "no obvious connection to South Florida," which is a defense lawyer's way of saying a Florida grand jury has no business with them.
The evidence, however, is incontrovertible. Obama, Brennan, Comey, and others conspired against President Trump and manufactured the false Russiagate narrative with the goal of overthrowing the legitimately-elected President. When President Trump exposed Obama and co. by declassifying the Russiagate documents, Obama's henchmen secretly reclassified the documents, raided President Trump's home to steal them, and then charged President Trump under Espionage Act to cover up for their crimes and jail President Trump.
The FBI's Washington field office, July 2022, weeks before the raid on Mar-a-Lago: "WFO does not believe (and has articulated to DOJ CES), that we have established probable cause for the search warrant at Mar a Lago." The Deputy Attorney General's note on the memo that opened the case, March 2022: "Merrick—I recommend you approve." Both are in Chapters Thirty-One and Thirty-Two of my book, out since September 27: grandconspiracythebook.com. Both have been on the White House site since October 5. Neither has ever appeared in the Times.
On Friday the Times put twenty unnamed officials on page one, allegedly describing what was said inside a grand jury's prosecution team, to tell you the case is dead before the prosecutors charged anyone.
I know that method. In 2017 the same paper printed what unnamed officials told it about an FBI file with my name in it, and the file was a fabrication, and the officials knew. That is Chapter Twenty. The names have not changed, only the year.
The Times says the 2022 raid cannot be tied to 2016. It can, by four names. Alan Kohler sat beside me at a Cambridge summer school in 2015, enrolled by the FBI under cover as a student. He was the Bureau's man in the London embassy where Gina Haspel ran the CIA's station, and Kohler worked with British operative Christopher Steele and CIA operative Stefan Halper, the two provided fake "intelligence" against Donald Trump. In 2022 Kohler ran the Counterintelligence Division that planned the raid on President Trump's home, and Kohler reported on it to Wray, Monaco and Garland. Jay Bratt, George Toscas and Lisa Monaco were in the Russia hoax from 2016, and in 2022 they organized the raid on Mar-a-Lago to take the Russiagate documents back. The Times found the joint the case turns on and argued for the other side.
Here is the thing the Times will not print. The documents the FBI raided President Trump's home for were the Russiagate files. For nine years the people who fabricated those files have said they could never be shown, because showing them would expose their informant, Brennan's CIA man Stefan Halper, and cost lives and allies. So they secretly reclassified the files, with Halper's lie about me still inside them: that I was a Russian spy who recruited President Trump's National Security Adviser. Then John Brennan sat down with Jack Smith's prosecutors to give evidence against President Trump, in closed session, in an espionage case where the jury would never see the documents he was giving evidence about. Brennan made up the lies in the Russiagate files, and Brennan was to be their witness at the trial of the President who had exposed them.

Muslims are taught to deceive the kuffar (non-Muslim) about their true beliefs in order to defend the cause of Islam and Jihad. This deception is called taqiyya.
Muslims will attempt to disassociate Islam from terrorist acts in order to win sympathy and public opinion, especially in countries where they are outnumbered by non-Muslims. They will say that such an act does not represent the “true Islam”, when in fact it does.
Over 60% of the Quran contains verses about killing the kuffar, or forcing them to live under servitude as dhimmi and pay a heavy tax known as Jizya. Dhimmi’s must defer to Muslims in all manners whatsoever.
Islamic Sharia law requires all Muslims to pay a charity tithe called Zakat. A portion of Zakat is required to be used to fund Jihadists, such as Al Qaeda, Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Taliban. If they truly opposed terrorism, they would not pay the Zakat.
Since 911, Muslims have committed over 23,000 acts of terror. 90% of all terrorist acts are committed by Muslims.

Citizen Journalist Nick Shirley and his team have uncovered a direct link between about $17 million in kickbacks from contractors working on the Obama Presidential Center and an LLC owned by the Obama Foundation.
And then he stiffed them for millions more.
Shirley believes the former First Family will walk away with an easy $70 million, plus another $20 million a year in income from admission and merchandising.

“For decades, Republicans and Democrats alike rejected the idea that the International Criminal Court had the power to prosecute American citizens, military servicemembers, or political leaders. America never joined the court. We don’t need it. And we don’t want it.
But globalist “experts” an ocean away don’t care what American citizens think.
They want the ICC to do more, including the prosecution of American citizens. Servicemembers defending their country, Border Patrol agents protecting our nation, and elected leaders ensuring our national security. They want more power, and they want it at our expense.
President Trump will never allow the International Criminal Court to prosecute Americans. That is why, today, the United States is sanctioning the International Criminal Court. We will ban transactions with this rogue court, cutting off their resources and crippling its ability to operate.
We have been clear for over a year as to the basic gestures of good faith we have expected from the court. We exercised discretion and deferred this designation out of respect for our relationships and in hopes that the ICC would change course or would otherwise be restrained by States Parties. If they do not, the United States will continue its campaign to dismantle the ICC, brick by brick, until Americans are threatened no longer.
The ICC is being designated pursuant to section 1(a)(ii)(A) of Executive Order (E.O.) 14203.”

My son came home from school today and told me about his day.
A kid in his class did the Heil Hilter salute while looking at my son. Then, after my son got out at dodgeball said “you just got smoked like your grandparents in WWII”.
This is not OK.
