It's very hard to even wrap your head around how evil they are.

Cristian Mungiu’s FJORD is an intimate portrait of a family after moving to Norway. The film fills you with an intense and fiery rage as the situation plays-out. A career-best performance from Sebastian Stan alongside a heartbreaking Renate Reinsve; truly a remarkable film

Sebastian Stan is a generational actor. I think Stan and Robert Pattinson are comparable actors because they both continue to take risks, in addition to their extraordinary talent. The things Stan man pulls off in Fjord (🌟🌟🌟🌟), a film I recently reviewed on my Highlights tab, are simply jaw-dropping. This is without mentioning the run Stan went on in 2024, including his performance in The Apprentice, which earned him Oscar nomination for Best Actor. If you get an opportunity to see Stan’s performance in Fjord, do not hesitate: take the opportunity - see the film. It’s amazing.

One of my biggest pet peeves at film festivals is audiences audibly sighing or complaining when a film opens with a long list of production companies. If anyone should understand how difficult it is to get independent films made, it’s a festival audience. Show some awareness #LFF

Sebastian Stan continues to take risks with Fjord and during our interview last week credits having Marvel as a way for him to do “one for them, one for me.” And a very fun revelation on the unexpected stress of attending the Cannes Palme d’Or Ceremony
