the closet doesn’t exist for black people. that is the whole point. that’s not to say that you’re privileged or that it’s easy to deny your identity. the whole point is that when you’re black, you cannot innately deny your identity. antiblackness is not 1:1 with queerphobia.
mind you being black isn’t simply about your skin color. albinos are still black and treated as such. someone who bleaches is still perceived as black. someone who has a skin condition such as vitiligo is still black. it’s not something you get to change. ever.
