To be fair to Guillem, I completely lost my mind when I watched the F1 Movie too. Worst film I’ve ever seen.
I watched the F1 film with Brad Pitt the other day, and there’s a moment where his character asks to add something to the car that isn’t really in the rules. The FIA punishes it, but the team can still race with the earlier car. It made me think. In F1, the best teams live at the edge of the regulations. Sometimes the FIA allows what they’ve found, and sometimes it says that goes too far. Occasionally the rules are rewritten afterwards. Now, City. I’m not defending them. A commission found they entered into sham agreements and broke the spending limits. A sham is an arrangement that isn’t what it claims to be, so that’s a different thing from using a gap nobody had spotted. City deny it and will appeal. But I find it useful to ask/reflect on how people inside the club see it. From their point of view, PERHAPS they believe they were doing what elite competitors do: looking at the rules, finding the limits, challenging interpretations and moving faster than the regulatory system. From the outside, you might look at that and say, “That’s cheating.” From inside the organisation, they might say, “We found something nobody had thought of.” If you believe you’ve found a way to bring money in, more or less within the rules (and the commission said it was not in the rules and it was cheating), you might tell yourself you’re just being a sharp competitor. We are all asking “did City cheat?”. But I find this question interesting too: “how did City come to believe they weren’t?” And understanding a mindset, or trying to, isn’t excusing it.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Manchester City were found guilty of 114 out of 115 charges by an independent commission. The comparison made is not in the same ball park to the level of rule breaking Man City have committed. premierleague.com/en/news/472777…

I like this team but their ability to self-destruct will cost us. Worst performance under Clement and he’ll deserve the criticism that comes his way #ncfc

We'll face Brighton in the @Carabao_Cup fourth round, should we beat Manchester City tomorrow 👊

Top away day in Sheffield. Two Musaba starts and two wins. When we play proper wingers on both sides, we look dangerous. Didn’t expect the second half to be so comfortable #ncfc

Bruno Fernandes scored more Premier League goals today than Fabio Vieira did in his entire Arsenal career.

My son gave me a great Vieira analogy He is going to be our Bruno. An output machine. His goals assists ratio is ridiculous - just wait until he plays more. Arteta has started the process of him arriving into that left slot with his mate Martinelli Up to him now.

Great win today. Toure, Brooks and Musaba combined brilliantly. Solid performances at CB and CM too. Only bright spark for Burnley was Satpayev who has incredible potential. Rather helped our cause his teammates performed a masterclass in self-destruction. Stoke next #ncfc

Dreadful away performance, bullied by an excellent Millwall team. Lots to ponder for Big Phil #ncfc

This decision is somehow even more terrible than the actual decision to give the goal #ncfc #wba
Aune Heggebø will serve a two-match suspension after an appeal against a charge of misconduct was unsuccessful. We remain steadfast in our support of Aune, whose character and integrity have been evident throughout his time at The Hawthorns.

Very clear on Saturday we needed another LW option and glad to see it wrapped up so quickly. Loan with no option ideal given Ahmed’s injury #ncfc
Anthony Musaba is a Yellow 🔰🤝 🔗 norw.city/musaba-signs

People getting annoyed at James Morrison for saying exactly the same thing the other 23 Championship managers (including Clement) would’ve said in the same situation.
#WBA boss Morrison on #NCFC counterpart Clement's handball comments 'Not seen it back. But over the course of a season you will get some and not others. I don't care, to be honest.'

Hugely frustrating afternoon at Carrow Road. West Brom given a helping hand but from their perspective a perfect away day #ncfc

Going to try and tweet more about #ncfc this season as feels like it could be a special season. However posting my gaffr team with no Norwich players in (because the website crashed whilst I was tinkering) probably isn’t a good start…

Doesn’t sound like Makama is ready but Kvistgaarden is fit. I’d expect Toure to get 60-80 mins before Kvistgaarden comes on. Toure has never played 90 for us. Fisher is back in training so more likely to start than Stacey. Would avoid Norwich defence in gaffr for now.

Norwich @fplfrog 4231 Kovacevic; Stacey, Cordoba, Darling, Chrisene; Mattsson, McLean; Brooks, Ben Slimane, Schwartau; Toure (Fisher ahead of Stacey, but might not be ready for GW1. Toure/Makama is closer, but Makama might not be ready for GW1 either)

The worst kind of England fans are the ones that tell you we won’t win the World Cup just so when we crash out they can say ‘I told you so’. According to the bookies pre-tournament there was an 87.5% chance of someone other than England winning it, so it’s hardly a sizzling take.

FPL is fun but have you ever taken a 20 point hit and had three triple captains? #gaffrefl
