Diwali has always been one of my favourite times of year. It brings back fond memories of celebrating with family, and it was a joy to share that spirit on Parliament Hill tonight alongside my dear friend and colleague, @gary_srp. From small-town Nova Scotia to the heart of Canada’s democracy, seeing the traditions I grew up with celebrated here is especially touching. May the Festival of Lights remind us of the hope we bring to each other’s lives and the strength we find in community. Shubh Diwali! 🪔
