The reason Tyler Bertuzzi feels out of place sometimes is because he is surrounded by the inhabitants of the Chicago Lilliput Village.
No Stanley Cup for the #Blackhawks this year, that's for sure.
Prediction: The Chicago #Blackhawks are very far from a Stanley Cup.
π I had predicted back then in 2007 when I lived in Chicago that they would win a cup within 5 years. At that time, they just had 3 terrible season of 59, 65 and 71 points. They won their first of three Stanley Cups πππ in a decade within only 3 years. That prediction came true in a big way,
π Now I donβt see them winning within the next 5 years. Sadly for Connor Bedard and the fans.
π The reason is simple; in the last 50 years, a whole chunk of 50 years, of the #NHL, unless you find one I missed, no single team has won the Stanley with more than two undersized players (5'10") in their top 6. You can get away with two flanked by bigger guys, but playoffs are rough, grueling and with no mercy.
π Right now the top 6 of the Chicago Blackhawks is jam-packed with smaller players: Roman Kantserov, Frank Nazar, and Patrick Kane.
π You can even add Nick Lardis who even though he is 5'11", is rather feather light at 165lb.
π When Connor Bedard comes back from his other injury, he will replace another 5'10" or less or add to the count being 5'10" himself.
That could explain why the Chicago Blackhawks were interested in some of the Montreal Canadiens' bigger, tougher and pugilistic players. #Habs
In all cases, I wish them luck, but eventually, they will have to address this issue otherwise my prediction will sadly become true.
#NHL Strategy
π The #NJDevils strategically improved their already good chances of signing Quinn Hughes πΊπΈ this summer, by acquiring Connor Hellebuyck πΊπΈ.
π It forces the #MNWild to strongly consider acquiring Dylan Larkin πΊπΈ. #LGRW
π In all cases, acquiring Larkin does not guarantee the signing of Quinn Hughes but will improve their chances, and regardless, the Minnesota Wild could use another center.
π As of today, the Devils have the last Wild card position in the Eastern Conference and the Minnesota Wild have the second position in the Central Division. Technically, Minnesota are in a better position but things could change now that the Devils have an elite goaltender.
This is rather impressive
Kudos #LetsGoOilers
