La Organización Socialista Camino de la Libertad está creciendo a lo grande. Cada mes estamos desarrollando trabajo en nuevas ciudades y pueblos. Estamos ampliando nuestra actividad en los sindicatos de trabajadores; en los movimientos por la liberación nacional negra, chicana y de otras nacionalidades oprimidas; entre estudiantes, mujeres, personas LGBTQ, y en el movimiento antiguerra. Y apenas estamos comenzando.
A partir del 15 de octubre, la OSCL lanzará una campaña de un mes para reclutar 300 nuevos miembros generales. El extraordinario revolucionario chino Mao Zedong una vez dijo, “el mundo grita por que se haga algo,” y tenía razón en eso. Es muy probable que superemos esta meta.
Trump es el representante político de un sistema enfermo y moribundo y la OSCL está organizando para acabar con el capitalismo. Nosotros entendemos completamente que las palabras por sí solas no lograrán eso—este país necesita una revolución. Necesitamos unir a todos los que podemos unir para derrotar a la clase parasitaria que domina este país. Este es el proyecto al que está comprometida la OSCL. El Equipo de Trabajo por Mujeres y del Movimiento LGBTQ de la Organización Socialista Camino de la Libertad condena fuertemente a los 7 de Cornell y al liderazgo de la universidad y al departamento de policía responsables de proteger a los violadores involucrados desde 2024.
Este caso es solo un ejemplo de las herramientas legales y culturales profundamente arraigadas que las universidades de todo el país utilizan para proteger a los violadores. Mientras a las fraternidades, reaccionarios, racistas e intolerantes se les da una palmada en la muñeca o no se les responsabiliza, estudiantes en todo el país enfrentan la amenaza de expulsión, suspensión y otras formas de castigo simplemente por exigir una Palestina libre o por realizar una protesta en sus campus con un megáfono.
La clase dominante no está satisfecha con solo mantener el sistema actual que protege a los violadores y castiga a los revolucionarios, sino que quieren ir más allá. El gobierno de Trump ha profundizado la opresión de las mujeres y las personas LGBTQ al revertir las protecciones del Título 9. El fallo legal ahora solo se refiere al sexo biológico, lo que hace efectivamente legal discriminar contra personas por su orientación sexual e identidad de género en los campus universitarios que no tienen protecciones estatales contra estas formas de discriminación.
Los cambios al Título 9 también afectan cómo las escuelas deben responder a los reportes de conducta sexual indebida en el campus, exigiendo que las universidades realicen audiencias tipo juicio y requieran un estándar de prueba más alto para el asalto sexual y el acoso. La conducta sexual indebida ya era difícil de sancionar para los estudiantes en el campus. Este fallo hace que sobrevivientes tengan aún menos probabilidades de reportar lo que les ocurrió. Los ataques al Título 9 liderados por el Partido Republicano son más que una vendetta personal. No son solo una herramienta para usar a las personas LGBTQ como chivos expiatorios en el campus. Las reversiones implementadas se están utilizando para proteger el statu quo tal como existe. El fallo hace imposible que exista una vía legal real para hacer responsables a las fraternidades, perpetuando el asalto sexual en el campus y dejando saber a los violadores que pueden cometer sus crímenes con poco o ningún castigo. Deja que las escuelas se salgan con la suya por negarse a auxiliar a las víctimas. Defiende a los estudiantes ricos y poderosos de ser acusados de violación al desmoralizar a quienes denuncian. Mantiene a los estudiantes LGBTQ en un estado de miedo y le da al liderazgo chovinista de las universidades la oportunidad de hacerles la vida un infierno en el campus.
A largo plazo, las reversiones al Título 9 y la atención creciente al caso de los 7 de Cornell significa la ruina para los multimillonarios y millonarios que presionan a los políticos y a las universidades para proteger y defender a violadores y la discriminación LGBTQ en los campus. Más personas se están dando cuenta de la corrupción e injusticia permitidas en los campus, y la lucha por el socialismo se intensificará a medida que las personas en los Estados Unidos se vean obligadas a darse cuenta de que es la única manera de poner fin a la cultura de la violación y a los ataques anti-LGBTQ en el campus y en nuestras comunidades.

We're people of action, not a book club.
There is no disputing that without revolutionary theory, there can be no revolutionary movement. We take studying Marxism-Leninism and revolutionary history seriously, but the point of studying all of this is to apply it to our real world conditions.
We develop theory by summing up our practice, then apply that theory and sum our practice up again. We will never simply think and read our way to revolution, we have to be real fighters in the people's movements.

Massive rebellions have been raging across Europe, and racists like JD Vance want to spin lies that these are because European countries have "imported" too many refugees and immigrants. That's bullshit.
Workers and youth in France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and beyond are rebelling against the same declining standard of living we see here in the U.S. - schools are under-funded, housing is unaffordable, social services are being gutted, and people can see that the capitalist system we live under fundamentally can't address our basic needs.
These lies by people like JD Vance and Donald Trump reveal something about our ruling class though: they can see the writing on the wall, and are very afraid of what might happen if the people of the U.S. looked at the situation in Europe and started getting ideas of our own.
🧵 (1/6) We mean it when we say we're organizing for revolution, and that we have a real strategy for how we're going to do it. "Class in the United States and Our Strategy for Revolution" is a chapter in the FRSO Program, which sums up our analysis of the main class forces in U.S. society and how we relate to them as communist organizers.
As the document states: To change society and end oppression, we need a plan to get from where we are now to liberation—a strategy that will work. Any successful revolutionary strategy must address the fundamental issue of who are our friends and who are our enemies and explain how we will go about uniting all who can be united to end the existing order of things.
