For what it's worth Baleba never had a hamstring issue and it's not certainly the players style issue because he's been changing direction whether at speed or decelerating throughout his career it's further confirmation of the conditioning issues.

Frame 1; Assessing trajectory of ball trying to get value controlling by chest & directing it towards flow maintaining balance despite push behind while in air. Frame 2; Setting pivot foot & arm across opp as a barrier creating separation letting ball roll towards back foot.
You just need a little glance to make your mind what a top prospect Cassim is. The utilization of body, ability to disguise intent, weight & selection of pass, coordination while changing direction & decelerating. Iron some details but needs exposure to senior level in some shape.

A shame we weren't able to catch his first start over the weekend as it clashed with the first team game time. Hope he'll be in the squad for the UYL tomorrow.

Samuel Mbangula giving false indications shaping to shoot 1st time before a deceptive drop of shoulder to let ball roll across to his back foot bypassing defender going against his flow creating a better picture to shoot 1v1.

Morris is playing on another level dictating the tempo, Conway adaptation and selfless runs in his current role have been decent, Lankshear integrated seamlessly and looks as tho goals aren't drying anytime soon.

Aforementioned players got their flowers but I've been really impressed by the performance & consistency of Adilson Malanda since last season. Incredible box defending with good orientation & aerial prowess, technically proficient, good mobility etc. Top club's should have a look.

This is the most athletic I have seen Rodri the closest he has been to this version is back in 2023. Hansi Flick and Benjamin Kugel should take all credit. Insane!

OOP structure obviously he had to compromise due to the personnel but even then it was kamikaze half hearted not committing to either organizing the mid block with set triggers or forcing to opp weak side and locking up.

Unfortunately the outcome is obvious, delayed if anything but all this is pure observation of tactical, physical and recruitment mess but we're missing the forest for the tree so we'd plaster over the wounds to get brief relief.

The model that brought the intial success was reliant on proximity & outplaying pressure with interplay & creating space with selfless runs which came on the back of Barreira's conditioning. Deterioration was apparent over time since his absence.

Despite those glaring signs there wasn't any sort of initiative to address it since pre season and we also shifted approach to more strict positional approach which isolated FB's & MF's 1v1, distances too big, sterile possession. Not having pure winger's doesn't help either.
