On September 1, 1905, Alberta officially became a province. Today we mark 121 years of big skies, bold spirit, and Alberta courage.
I stand on the shoulders of our settlers and pioneers that built our great province. I honour them today.
Today we also celebrate the vibrant spirit of Albertans which is embodied in the Calgary Stampede, 114 years of volunteerism, unmatched in the world.
Our unique stories, music, cultures, and determination makes Alberta a home for everyone—from our First Peoples, to farmers, ranchers, entrepreneurs, and newcomers.

Morning friends
Its getting weird out there, not gonna lie. I have people parking and staring at us, taking pictures etc. Once that offer of money that was way more than 'Buy yourself a coffee' set off alarm bells.
There is a young lady in a small grey car making it very obvious she is taking our pictures and driving away quickly. She even honks so we look at her. Happens daily.
Then shortly after usually a car or truck comes by with nasty things to say.
Maybe i'm on some NDP Facebook page to be vilified? Lol. No idea.
Everything is against Alberta Independence, I don't know who might be a cop? CSIS? Elections Alberta? NDP? Military? Maybe just a regular upset citizen? I have no idea.
So I just want it on record that I love my life, love my family, I am very happy and have no intention of harming myself in any way. I want to live a long life.
And I won't be intimidated.
