I have seen calls for naming the #LossandDamageFunds as #HuqFund in memory of Prof @SaleemulHuq. It is a great idea. Also, "huq" means rights or dues in Urdu, making it an apt name, as indeed compensation for losses and damages is due to those who have not contributed to CC.

When thinking about curbing the downsides of the derisking state, I often struggled with the insights of the classical literature on applying Amsden and Wade's Japan-Korea conditionalities to today's economies. @Isabel_Estevez_ has come closest to solving my problem.
Thanks @toddntucker for uplifting this taxonomy of conditionalities!
Here's a snapshot *one* of the conditionality types covered in the brief:

Industrial policy is not just about manufacturing & building. It's about *what* we're manufacturing, *how* we're building, and ultimately, whether or not we're promoting our collective well-being.

A microeconomics perspective on inflation: "Free rail tickets aren’t the first thing that comes to mind when you think of anti-inflation policy, but it makes sense if the goal is to shift demand away from scarce fossil fuels."
Is inflation always a macro problem, a sign of an overheated economy? Or is it at times better understood in terms of micro shocks to essentials?
