Obviously I’m sad, but I’m incredibly proud of this Rays team.
They were unanimously picked to tail their division, only to claim an AL-best 98 wins, an AL East title, and an AL Pennant before falling to the undeniably best team in baseball.

If the Brewers used Misiorowski to close out the game yesterday then his knee would be completely fine right now. But sadly they didn't so now he's potentially looking at a torn ACL. If so then he would most likely miss all of next year. Their 2027 WS odds just went down.

I’m never one to complain about what Kevin Cash did or did not do, but Drew Rasmussen was rolling before he got yanked tonight! It’s Game 5 of the World Series. Let him pitch. He wouldn’t have pitched in Game 6 or Game 7. More than likely, they wouldn’t have needed him.

John Smoltz continues to criticize Jacob Misiorowski because he can’t fathom the idea of someone being better than he ever was in just their second year of Major League Baseball.
He’s a deeply insecure man who can’t accept that someone is succeeding in a way that challenges his conventional ideas about pitching.
There is no analysis from Smoltz anymore, and there hasn’t been in a long time. It’s just projections from a grumpy old man yelling at clouds.
