Not going well for her in the comments.
Poundland has filed to enter administration, putting 11,000 jobs at risk just weeks before Christmas, including here in Brixton.
I stand with Poundland workers and @UsdawUnion.
The owners must engage with workers and ministers, exploring every option to save jobs and shops.

This Irish farmer hilariously sums up the entire world’s problems.
“Why we bes bend over…”
My man!
Get a f*cking grip. Why continue to liquify gas in the US and Qatar and ship it when we can extract it locally ffs.
The British Army was at its best when it was comprised of council estate thugs led by public school bullies.

Premise:
Incentives drive all human behavior.
The corollary:
How to destroy a country:
A vast social security and support system that serves as a magnet for those who would rather not work.
An open immigration policy that does not screen immigrants to determine their ability and willingness to provide for themselves and their families.
An open immigration policy that does not screen for political and/or religious ideologies that are a threat to the country.
Economic incentives large enough to incentivize immigrants on the state dole to have large numbers of children, but insufficient for educated and economically productive mothers to be able to quit to raise a family.
The declining fertility of the most educated and productive women due to their delay to begin a family as a result of their desire and/or need to advance their careers, among other reasons, to live a life they deem consistent with their educational achievements and/or to repay their student debts.
Amnesty programs that give citizenship and voting power to illegal immigrants without consideration of their economic productivity or their threat to the country due to their religious or political ideologies.
The changing demographics and increased population due to the above factors.
The state responding to protests by increasing social support.
The continued failure to punish and hold accountable violent and looting rioters.
Government managed by a massive and growing unelected bureaucracy.
Government fraud, waste, and abuse contributed to ballooning budgets.
Anti-business legislation that makes it difficult for businesses to compete in a global marketplace being disrupted by AI, including restrictions on firing even poorly performing employees.
Overly burdensome, globally uncompetitive, corporate taxation.
Continuous increases in personal taxes to raise funds to provide for the rapidly growing welfare state.
The substantial majority of the tax burden levied on a small percentage of the population.
A growing percentage of the electorate paying no taxes and receiving welfare.
The introduction or threat of a wealth tax including the taxation of unrealized gains, i.e., taxes on paper wealth.
The flight of the most productive business builders and highest taxpayers to lower tax countries with lesser security concerns.
A growing percentage of the electorate voting for candidates that support increased welfare and laws favorable to, and/or that match the cultural and ideological needs and desires of a growing unproductive immigrant population.
The rapid rise in anti-semitism and inadequate efforts to address this hatred.
Increased borrowing by the state to fund the growing social burden.
Higher sovereign interest rates due to all of the above.
The resulting need to reduce expenditures to make the math work.
Increasingly violent protests that make life less livable for the productive and law abiding citizens leading to their accelerated departure.
And so on…
What a bed wetter.
Wet Tories under a different name.
Disgraceful masked Dover blockade should have been stopped by police immediately
This is not lawful protest, it is militia style intimidation
Regardless of politics, left or right, this must be stopped urgently or thugs will feel emboldened telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/09…
This interview with @FraserNelson demonstrates how clueless he really is.
He describes Elon Musk’s adoption of Lean manufacturing (pioneered by Toyota) as a positive, then in the next breath criticises the Toyota model as treating workers like drones.

What’s the end state here?
Does the UK taxpayer just have to keep digging deeper to fund benefits for the world, limited only by the rate of arrival?
When do we see the traffickers transfer to using RoRo ferries?
I’d prefer a flat tax system. Everyone pays the same percentage irrespective of income source. All have skin in the game and government can only increase the tax take through growth. Any call to increase the percentage is put to a referendum.

In the limit these idiots think that the fruits of your labour belong to them and you should be happy with tokens you can redeem at the Government run store.

I’m certain that the electorate won’t look kindly on the arrogance of the Labour Party thinking they can have one MP stand down and that they’ll vote for Burnham.

Just listened to @CamillaTominey interview @EllieChowns on the DailyT podcast.
She’s the epitome of the “hello clouds, hello sky” lunatics @WilliamClouston often refers to.
This was an excellent listen. I highly recommend watching Emmet’s talk referred to in the pod:

We discuss:
- Why Marxism keep returning
- Why it appeals to good intentions
- Why it leads to centralised power
- The brainwashing of kids

When war comes to managerialists. An over promoted corporate lawyer who’d struggle as CEO of a SME. He needs to consult with his head of HR before making a decision.
At the heart of this is trying to appease the block vote we saw in action last week in Gorton & Denton.
Interesting to note that the period since the creation of the Fabian Society in 1884 pretty much covers the decline of Britain.

Hi, some personal news - I’m changing job. I recently asked myself the question: what’s the most exciting and promising company in the world right now? The answer I believe is OpenAI. So it’s a privilege to be going to work for OpenAI as managing director and head of OpenAI for countries, based here in London. In my conversations with Sam Altman, Brad Lightcap, and other senior colleagues, it’s clear they are exceptionally impressive leaders and that they care very deeply about their mission to ensure the power of artificial intelligence is developed responsibly, and the benefits are felt by all. That’s exactly what the OpenAI for Countries initiative intends to achieve, helping societies around the world share the opportunity this powerful technology brings. Am honorored to join the team.
F**ktards such as this really shouldn’t be allowed out unsupervised.
How can anyone look at this graph and conclude it’s cause was a referendum that occurred in 2016 for which the resulting withdrawal didn’t occur until 2020?
