stop cold emailing tech startups and enterprises there are thousands of businesses whose employees will actually read your emails cause their inboxes are not inundated with slop offers
Contacts who get emailed less than average reply 3.2x more. @clay has a free source full of them. That 3.2x comes from my agencies internal data and @smartlead_ai says it could be even more like 4x more. The source is Google Maps, and it's free in Clay. When everyone pulls leads from the same easy databases, the harder-to-reach contacts pay off fast. Here's how I'm using it: Put in keywords. I searched for plumbing companies, and it's free no matter how many locations I add. Score fit with Jev. Skip scoring anything with "plumbing" in the name, since you already know those fit. Find contacts. Surfe did a great job here. For anything Surfe misses, I built a custom Claygent to find more contacts. Right now I'm building a dataset to get the highest find rate possible on local business contacts. I'm having Opus 5.5 find 1,000 companies where we can find the owner on the website but they don't have a linkedin profile. I'm going to put that into the training data for a claygent to work off of Haiku or Luna 6 to cheaply find custom contacts. When it's done, I'll give away the Claygent along with any MCPs it needs. our Exa friends will probably be very useful here. You can use the Google Maps source in Clay right now for free, with unlimited searches. I use a browser agent to keep running the searches, and I asked engineering to expand how many you can run at once. Want the Claygent to find the contacts and emails once it's done hill climbing? Let me know.

Like most things in life Activities lose their appeal when they become obligations Remove the obligation and you will appreciate it for what it is
My strongest “vibes not evidence” belief is that remote work is a cancer that’s making (most) people miserable even though it seems better in the short term.

Pov of someone who has not been obligated to commute for 6 yrs Each year the urge to work alongside peers in an office grows stronger

Remote requires environmental dignity; you should be living/working somewhere so much better than the alternative bigcity office that comparison feels absurd Working remote next to your bed in a 600sq foot box is where people lose the plot

The horse carriage industry is coming to an end in New York City. Our administration will make sure workers and owners are protected and the horses are safe.

it’s nice to remember how effortless ignoring emails is before you send one yourself archiving takes a millisecond and isn’t even a bad outcome, probably sent a decent email if you didn't get marked as spam imagine someone deciding the next 2 minutes of their life deserve your reply over literally anything else and you won't send a bad email

if u took endurance seriously you'd stop caring about protein and spam your body w carbs instead
as a triathlete its hilarious to see people discover energy from first principles. like i literally consume 600g of carbs (sugar) for a long training session and perform at peak intensity. the high protein low carb era is just birthing a bunch of lethargic and overweight people who still dont go to the gym. its always been calories in / calories out. your sparkling water doesn't need 30g or protein.

San Francisco has the biggest lived-experience gap of any American city Orient your life around Market St and you will constantly navigate hell Orient your life around Golden Gate Park and Ocean Beach and you will regularly encounter God
Is there anywhere in the world with a larger gap between the price you pay and the value of the urban amenities you get than in San Francisco?

two 1k+ acre parks with forests, beaches, coastal trails and a resident bison herd a 47 sq mile footprint where anywhere you want to go is ~30 minutes by e-bike #2 most walkable city in the US + urban cycling infrastructure year-round farmers' markets supplied by the state that grows nearly half the country's produce tap water that’s Sierra snowmelt from Yosemite, clean enough at the source to skip filtration but bro is too busy monitoring the situation

cold calling is actually thrilling when you don't have to do it, deadening when you're measured on it

the MrBeastification of athletics will be studied once nothing is impressive anymore
Well, for all the strength vs endurance arguments this kid just said “how about I just excel at both?”. Wild.

to eat what you kill each month you basically have to have an offer factory extremely hard to produce good offers when you're running a factory across 12 industries

for the love of the game type shit completely irrational behavior for 99% of WHOOP users a custom UI + saving $20/mo is never gonna justify this amount of work it's just fun to act on engineering impulse
exiting whoop after 18 months. kept the strap, ditched the subscription. it now runs fully local on zhoop (my fork of noop). no fluff metrics, my data stays on my phone. ai killed vendor lock-in.
