Anyone else notice that MAGAs went from “it’s not a democracy, it’s a constitutional republic” to “the courts must not interfere with the will of the people!” Wonder what changed?

President Trump and his personal attorney-turned-personal-Attorney General, Todd Blanche, want the American people to believe that (1) there is no evidence in the Epstein files that could justify an investigation of anyone other than Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, (2) that Epstein and Maxwell alone, with no help, trafficked thousands of women and young girls in a billion-dollar decade-long international conspiracy, (3) that the Epstein files “fully exonerate” Trump of any involvement in Epstein’s network or other wrongdoing and, (4) Trump banned his best friend Jeffrey Epstein from Mar-a-Lago for being a “creep.” @HouseJudiciary Democrats set out to find the truth about these claims. They are all outrageous lies. We also found five survivors who accuse Trump himself of raping or sexually assaulting them in Epstein’s close company, one of whom had never spoken in detail about her rape until now. The DOJ won't do its job to investigate all of the abundant evidence of wrongdoing in the Epstein files, so Democrats demand appointment of a truly independent Special Counsel to conduct a thorough investigation of the largest human sex trafficking network in this century.

Four veterans organizations are planning to file a legal brief that would help clear the way for Trump’s 250-foot triumphal arch on the ceremonial approach to Arlington National Cemetery. Let’s be clear about what this arch is. It’s a self-glorifying monument for a five-time draft dodger that would cast a shadow over sacred ground that generations of veterans earned with their service. The federal review meant to protect Arlington was cut short to rush it through, and veterans are already in court trying to stop it. If you belong to Vietnam Veterans of America, the Korean War Veterans Association, the National Vet Court Alliance, or the Military Order of the Purple Heart, call or email your organization today. Ask them two things: don’t join the brief, and speak out against the arch instead. The deadline is Wednesday, and one message could make the difference. washingtonpost.com/politics/…

Our investigators compiled a six-year timeline tracing the events and evidence that tell a different story. From 1991 to 1997, Trump and Epstein were best friends and key players in the murky world of beauty pageants. Eight women have accused Trump of being involved in Epstein's sex crimes during those six years.

Exactly what we need in the absence of a functioning U.S. Department of Justice. An organization of ex-prosecutors and investigators who help can put cases together for current and future prosecutors who will restore accountability for corrupt federal officials and those who benefit from that corruption.
We are facing a crisis of impunity. That's why we built The Rule of Law Project — to investigate unlawful conduct by federal officials, and work with state and local prosecutors to hold them to account. Watch former DOJ prosecutor Mark Blumberg and human rights leader Brad Adams launch this critical accountability initiative on MSNOW with Nicolle Wallace.

Trump’s 250-foot arch would cast a shadow on 50,000-75,000 graves at Arlington National Cemetery, according to studies conducted by VoteVets and the Washington Post. Using a to-scale 3D model, the Post confirmed what VoteVets first uncovered: the arch's shadow would reach the cemetery on 284 days a year, passing over veterans of every war from the Civil War to Vietnam. For 18 days it would cover President Kennedy’s eternal flame, and for 109 days, it would shadow the Military Women’s Memorial. The administration says the arch would “enhance the visitor experience.” Retired Army Major General Paul Eaton, whose own parents are buried at Arlington, called it what it is: a sacrilege. A monument to one man’s ego, casting its shadow over the people who actually earned that ground. The federal panel reviewing it, stacked with Trump allies, could approve it as soon as November 5, with groundbreaking right after. Once it’s built, it cannot be unbuilt. washingtonpost.com/investiga…

Charles Kushner, a New Jersey real-estate developer and the father of Trump’s son-in-law Jared, became the U.S. Ambassador to France in 2025. Introducing himself to the French public in a social-media video, he said that he knew “a limited amount about France.” He does not speak French; he has never lived abroad. He served time in federal prison for illegal campaign contributions, tax evasion, and witness tampering. The last crime, a blackmail scheme that involved hiring a prostitute to seduce his sister’s husband, suggests a dubious approach to conflict management. Yet Trump saw fit to hand him one of the most coveted posts in American diplomacy, the seat once held by Thomas Jefferson and by Benjamin Franklin, stewarding the relationship with America’s oldest ally. Since taking up his post, Kushner has earned a reputation for meddling in domestic French politics at sensitive moments. “I don’t see how he can possibly affect the opinions of the French government by regularly irritating them,” the president of the American Academy of Diplomacy said. Lauren Collins reports on Charles Kushner’s Ambassadorship and a new cohort of MAGA diplomats who are underqualified for their posts and overeager to impress the boss back in Washington: newyorker.com/magazine/2026/…

Deservedly scathing op-ed by the NYT: “If Democrats retake both houses of Congress, and more state governments than they now control, it will tell the world that Mr. Trump does not represent most Americans. It will demonstrate that a country that starts to slide toward autocracy can move back to normalcy, as happened in Hungary this spring. Most important, it will create a desperately needed check on Mr. Trump during his final two years in office. … In a 21-month span, he has done more harm to democracy and the rule of law than any other president in the modern era and perhaps longer than that. He has broken his oath to defend the Constitution by trying to rewrite it on his own. He has refused to honor Congress’s power of the purse and misused national security laws for political ends. He has defied federal court orders on Medicaid funding, deportation orders and more. He has dismantled the Justice Department’s legacy as an impartial enforcer of federal law, turning it into an instrument of retribution against his adversaries while canceling investigations into his allies. He has appointed inept sycophants to oversee crucial government functions, including law enforcement, national defense and public health. He has sought to disenfranchise large numbers of voters, claiming fraud that cannot be found, and championed an extreme new approach to partisan gerrymandering. He has physically besmirched the White House by demolishing the East Wing and financing a garish renovation with donations from wealthy allies.” nytimes.com/2026/10/27/opini…

Trump's DOJ told a judge how to rule. Then it pulled her from court. Karen Donoso Stevens' allegations, which she's sharing publicly because of her deep concern for the court's integrity, were corroborated by her extensive contemporaneous notes as well as colleagues, family and private attorneys interviewed by WaPo. They contradict Trump officials' insistence that — as required by law — immigration judges serve as independent arbiters of justice. washingtonpost.com/nation/20…

I am indeed upset to see DOJ politicized in this way. Non-citizens most certainly should not vote, but the Justice Department should stay out of politics and stick to law. DOJ represents the United States of America, not a political party.

A reminder that it is now 311 days since the Epstein Files Transparency Act mandated full release of the Epstein Files—and they are still not released. Never before in the history of humanity has someone refused to release facts that would exonerate them from credible accusations of rape, sex trafficking, and being a PDFile. Innocent people in power don't hide evidence proving their innocence—but guilty people do.

After Elon Musk posted on X saying he had throttled Ukraine’s use of Starlink after it was used for offensive attacks, House Armed Services Committee member Rep. Jason Crow (D-CO) says the billionaire’s ability to wield that power is “beyond disturbing to me.” “It cannot and should not be the case that a tech oligarch, a private citizen, who has that much control over our national security, who is unaccountable, who is unelected, with zero transparency, is making life and death decisions on the battlefield in systems that our service members and our partners and allies rely upon,” he adds.

After claiming for years that other countries pay the tariffs and that they don’t raise consumer prices, Trump is now rolling back some tariffs to help a Republican senator win reelection. Because of course Americans pay for it. Insane.
