December 2019: Davon Fields said he was inspired to become an #Akron #police officer because he wanted to change the negative perception people have of law enforcement.
Five years later: Fields shot and killed a 15-year-old on #Thanksgiving2024.

In the Summit County Court of Common Pleas courtyard, eight veterans hung dog tags on a Witness Tree.
The tags, hung in memory of children, parents, relatives and friends who committed suicide, serve as a reminder of the need for preventative services.
