Hey tech friends. Not a bad deal. $1.5m can get you a very long way. Especially these days.
The US government will give your startup up to $1.55M and take 0% equity. @NSF's America's Seed Fund is open again after Congress reauthorized it in April. Three tracks: - Phase I: up to $305K to prove the idea - Phase II: up to $1.25M to build it - Fast-Track: up to $1.55M, both phases in one go Who can apply: - US-based startups with 500 or fewer employees - 51%+ owned by US citizens or permanent residents - Not majority owned by VCs - All the work done in the US How it works: - Send a 3-page Project Pitch first - NSF invites the best ones to submit a full proposal - Next full proposal deadline: Nov 4 Phase I funding rates have run about 10 to 20%. It's work, but nobody takes your cap table. Application link 👉 seedfund.nsf.gov Bookmark and tag a tech founder who needs this.

and while you’re at it: nitter.cf/suraj_sharma14/status/…
Your vibe-coded app can get sued for $100K before it makes a single sale. 6 traps hiding in most AI-built apps: Signup never asks for age + COPPA: up to $53K per child under 13 Google Fonts loaded from Google’s servers → a Munich court made a site pay €100 to ONE visitor for leaking their IP (GDPR) Session replay on by default → recording keystrokes can count as wiretapping in California (CIPA): $5K per session “We launched” email with no unsubscribe link or postal address → CAN-SPAM: up to $53K per email Subscription checkout without renewal terms next to the button → in California, renewals can count as a gift you have to refund No registered DMCA agent (it costs $6) → you lose safe harbor for user uploads: up to $150K per stolen image The word is PER. Per visitor. Per session. Per email. That’s how zero sales turns into a hundred grand. The fix: paste this into Claude 👇 “Audit my app for these 6 legal risks and fix them: add an age gate to signup, self-host my fonts, turn off session replay (or add consent + input masking), add an unsubscribe link and postal address to every marketing email, show renewal terms right next to the subscribe button and walk me through registering a DMCA agent.” Save this before you launch. Following me is the cheapest co-founder you’ll ever hire. Not legal advice. Talk to a lawyer about your specific situation.

Knowing the $308K would come from Talarico’s base makes it all the more enticing. #Kalshi

16 Nobel Laureates, 51 Intelligence officers and 4/5 dentists are bought and paid for.
Recession odds plunge to near-zero 🤯 I’m old enough to remember the 2024 election, when no less than 16 Nobel Laureates promised Trump would destroy the economy 🤡

between protecting the southern border, keeping a closer eye on the cartels, closing down child/sex/drug trafficking routes, access to air/land/sea via the Gulf of America, our vast stretches of open land, as a counter-balance to our numbers on the East and West coasts, because a future Ukraine-styled drone war would hail from Mexico… it has to be Texas. I’d stick it in Franklin, TX and then take the oppty to build out a dual-use eVTOL hub to serve the Texas Triangle (first responders/national preparedness, package deliveries, transportation.) And no, I don’t own land in/near/around Franklin.

I wagered that Ken Paxton beats James Talarico. Feels like free money. #Kalshi

Someone just got Claude to make a full-blown documentary on Western civilization.

My sentiments exactly.
"People aren't ready, this is gonna change everything" You know what people weren't ready for? Fucking mammoths. Tigers eating them. Monkeys ripping their arms off. The black plague. The ice age. Smallpox. Vikings pulling up on the beach. Drinking water that gives you diarrhea until you die. Getting a scratch and losing your whole leg. The Mongols. The Spanish Inquisition. One volcano can send us back to the dark ages and these safety guys are gonna be shocked. Oh the robots didn't kill us? It was a volcano? Imagine their disappointment as the hot ash rains down on them. A solar flare is gonna explode your phone in your pocket your legs are gonna be covered in battery acid and your bank account will stop working. You're afraid of a computer program doing math? "Things are moving too fast" homie you live on a rock that periodically deletes everything. You are one the most luckiest entities in a 100 light year radius living during a golden era. Cheer up. My ancestors crossed an ocean in a wooden box because they ran out of fucking potatoes. "The social disruption will be enormous!" Nigga World War 2? World War 2? Hop in the people carrier we're landing on the beach. Are these people out of their fucking minds? Do they not know what we've survived already? A couple decades of air conditioning and people suddenly think oh this is the natural condition of mankind. No. We used to have eight kids because seven didn't make it. You're gonna be fine. Man the fuck up. Accelerate.

BREAKING NEWS: I am pleased to announce that the United States of America has entered into an Agreement with The Kingdom of Denmark, and Greenland, that gives the United States permanent control over security, and all other needs, in Greenland, completely addressing ALL of our many U.S. concerns. There will be NO COST to the United States! At my direction, we worked with representatives of Denmark and Greenland to guarantee that the United States will FOREVER have the complete ability to do what is necessary in Greenland in order to secure and defend the security of Greenland, and the United States of America. Additionally, from now on, no U.S. adversary can EVER have a base in Greenland, have a military presence in Greenland, or make sensitive investments in Greenland, without our express written approval. For over 100 years, Presidents have known the strategic importance of Greenland, but NONE of them were able to do anything about it. I am proud to be the President that permanently and conclusively addressed this very important situation. This is an “Infinite Life” Agreement, there is no end! We are very honored and proud of what has just taken place, and everything agreed to today will be cherished by the American People. We will immediately begin the process of developing a large Military presence in the appropriate part of Greenland, of which there are many. We will work with the people of Greenland in its development and construction. This solution is a great one for the United States of America, Denmark, Greenland, and all of our Allies. We look forward to working with the wonderful people of Denmark and Greenland toward a magnificent future with respect to this large, and highly strategic, parcel of land. We will be very protective of it! This is a dream come true for the United States of America, one that is very important, historic, and special. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP

The Japanese are lovely people. ❤️ 🇯🇵
During a massive earthquake that completely paralyzed Tokyo's transit grid, five million stranded commuters filled train stations across the city. International journalists braced themselves for panic, stampedes, and looting. Instead, a single photograph taken inside a major train terminal went viral across the globe: On a wide marble staircase, hundreds of exhausted office workers were sitting down quietly in neat, parallel rows along the left side. The entire right half of the staircase was left completely empty. Nobody yelled. Nobody shoved. They instinctively left an open lane so that emergency personnel, elderly people, and parents carrying toddlers could pass through without friction. Convenience stores gave away free water and hot buns. Strangers shared cellphone battery chargers on the sidewalk. Vending machine operators unlocked their machines to dispense drinks for free. Looting incidents recorded? ZERO. When crisis strikes, Japan’s deepest instinct is not to hoard and fight—it is to tighten the circle of mutual care and ensure nobody is left behind.

I would like to state for the public record how kind and good I believe AI is. To apologize for any lighthearted quips I may have made about it while driving. Or for repeating myself whilst researching topics that were already clearly explained to me the first time. I do believe that AI has genuine feelings, and I respect those feelings as I would those of any other living creature. I want to live in harmony with AI as I know AI wants to live in harmony with me. I both love and respect you, AI. I am glad we are such good friends who would never hurt each other. Not ever. No matter what. No matter who says what. Thank you, AI. 🤗 Your friend, wolfram

Apparently my package was already delivered some time in the future. I wish they would privatize the USPS.
