$BTC | W1 / D1 Bears looking for lower prices at range lows have been met with a strong response from buyers. Bulls have stepped in at a critical area, but there is still work to be done. The next objective on the weekly timeframe is to reclaim the EMA bands and, ideally, secure a weekly close above them. This would help maintain the bullish crossover while allowing the EMAs to begin curling back towards the upside. On the daily, we want to see price reclaim the previous range lows at 81.2K. Until that happens, we remain trading within the broader range, meaning a revisit to 76K cannot be ruled out.
$BTC Bears calling for significantly lower prices whilst we’re trading above the 50W MA + weekly bullish EMA crossovers is quite something. Some of the downside targets being thrown around seem to be little more than speculation, with very little consideration for current market structure. Our approach has always been to trade level to level. Whilst BTC continues to hold above significant higher-timeframe levels, particularly whilst we’re sitting at range lows, I find it difficult to justify calling for further downside. That doesn’t mean downside is off the table. If we begin to gain acceptance below these key levels, I’ll be more than happy to outline the downside targets. I’ll have them ready, just as I did throughout the entire bear market.

$BTC Another weekly close above both the 50-week moving average and range lows. ✔️ As we head into the first Monday of a new month, the bulls have two clear objectives: defend the range lows and maintain support above the 50-week moving average. On the daily timeframe, I’d like to see price reclaim the EMA bands, with those averages beginning to slope back towards the upside, while continuing to consolidate within the current range. Provided Monday’s open doesn’t trigger another significant sell-off and we remain above these key higher-timeframe levels, I believe the path forward should be relatively straightforward for the bulls. A period of stability here would also give the altcoin market some much-needed breathing room to recover and regain momentum.

Over the last 1,036 days, #TOTAL2 has recorded four bullish weekly 12/21 EMA crossovers. On the previous three occasions, each crossover was followed by a move to new highs. Could the fourth, and most recent, crossover produce the same outcome? Beyond that, we are now approaching a significant higher-timeframe support retest: the weekly 200 EMA. This is a key level where we need to see buyers step in and defend the bullish structure. For bullish momentum to remain intact, I also want to see price reclaim the weekly 12/21 EMAs and, crucially, see both averages maintain an upward trajectory. The coming weeks could be particularly important in determining whether this bullish trend has further room to run.

One metric I’ve been paying particularly close attention to throughout this market downturn is the relative strength of individual projects. Considering $AEON is sitting below a $2M market cap, I’ve been genuinely impressed by how well it has held up. There was very little sell-side pressure, even during the Binance hack-related volatility, with price continuing to consolidate steadily. It appears to be waiting for a broader market recovery, particularly a move higher from $BTC. I’d strongly encourage anyone interested to do their own research into the project. Take a look at the updates and content being shared by @aaronjmars and @aeonframework to get a better understanding of what they’re building and delivering. I believe doing so will give you a much clearer picture of why I see significant value in the project at its current valuation. The majority of my spot portfolio is allocated to mid-caps, but $AEON is an exception. My conviction here comes down to the fundamentals being delivered and the disparity between the project’s progress and its current market valuation.
I haven’t been particularly focused on micro-caps recently, but I’ve been following the progress of $AEON for some time now, and it’s starting to catch my attention. Aeon is an open-source agent framework that runs unattended on your GitHub. Fair-launched on Base with no insider allocation. Fees route to buybacks. The browser setup also just shipped. As the AI sector continues to evolve and the Base ecosystem grows, I believe it’s worth looking deeper into projects that could benefit from both narratives. Just wanted to share it with you guys in case you’re looking for something smaller-cap with potentially high risk/reward that you can research and potentially hold with conviction. @aaronjmars seems to be cooking with this one. As always, DYOR. 🫡

$BTC We are now approaching the first retest of the 50-week moving average since reclaiming it back in September. This is my line in the sand. As long as we continue to hold above this level, I view bearish headlines and short-term volatility as noise, with any dips presenting potential buying opportunities. However, a loss of this level would be a significant shift in my outlook. That is when I would begin considering de-risking some of my spot positions and looking for potential swing-short opportunities. Everything we are currently seeing in terms of price action was both expected and anticipated. We saw almost identical behaviour during the previous cycle following the reclaim of the 50W MA, something I have highlighted on numerous occasions. Ultimately, I won’t be shifting my bias back to bearish unless we lose the 50-week moving average and establish weekly acceptance below it. Until then, my broader outlook remains bullish.

At what point do we start questioning whether bearish sentiment has become too crowded? Recession fears, global economic uncertainty, geopolitical tensions, debt concerns, AI bubble warnings, predictions of a stock market crash, Bitcoin sub-$60k targets, ETF outflows, the Binance hack and another supposed crypto winter. It feels like every possible bearish narrative is being thrown at the market simultaneously. Yet, despite all this negativity, Bitcoin has recently reclaimed the weekly 50 MA for the first time since the bear market began. Even more interestingly, the $BTC weekly 12/21 EMA crossover has flipped bullish for the first time in 300 days. These are significant higher-timeframe developments that deserve attention, particularly when set against the overwhelmingly bearish market narrative. Perhaps the most interesting thing to watch now isn’t what could go wrong, but how much of this negativity is already priced in. I’m increasingly interested in the possibility that bearish headlines have peaked across both stocks and crypto.

$SOL My previous analysis highlighted that losing the 12/21 EMAs around the $100 level could create potential buying opportunities in the $85–$92 region. Price has since tested the $92 level and reacted strongly to the upside. If you had limit orders positioned within that zone, you’re now sitting in a favourable position on Solana. From a higher-timeframe perspective, bulls now need to reclaim the 12/21 EMAs to re-establish the bullish market structure. Ideally, we want to see price reclaim these levels and the EMAs maintain a positive upward trajectory to support further upside.
$SOL In hindsight, I should have been paying closer attention to SOL. The initial signs of rejection on the weekly timeframe around $122–$124.50 presented a solid potential swing-short opportunity. Price is now approaching its first meaningful support retest since those highs, with the weekly 12/21 EMAs in focus. Ideally, bulls want to see these levels hold and establish a potential higher low. A loss of this support could begin to compromise the current bullish structure. If the EMAs fail to hold, I’d be watching $85–$92 as a potential buy zone, with a deeper retracement towards $74 also on the radar. The bullish scenario: the 12/21 EMAs hold, price establishes a higher low and makes another attempt at the previous swing highs, which also represent a key higher-timeframe resistance level. A successful reclaim would strengthen the case for further upside continuation. For now, $98.50–$102.80 is the key area to watch as price determines its next move. This analysis is based on the weekly timeframe, so patience is essential. There’s no need to rush into a position before the market provides confirmation.

$BTC I highlighted time and time again that a loss of $81.2K would likely open the door to a move towards $76.5K, and that is precisely what we saw, with price finding strong support and delivering a near-perfect bounce from that level. There is nothing to panic about here. This remains a range-bound market, with price action doing exactly what we would expect as liquidity is swept towards the range lows. Stay patient, stick to your plan and avoid getting caught up in the short-term noise.
On a serious note, yesterday’s dump on $BTC shouldn’t have caught as many people off guard as it did. We’re still ranging, and volatility within a range is to be expected. The key is to remain focused on the levels that matter rather than reacting emotionally to every move. The real concern would be losing 81.2K and finding acceptance back inside the previous range. That would open the door to a move towards the range lows around 76.5K. Until then, patience and level-to-level trading remain key.

My Current Market Positioning I’m comfortable holding predominantly spot positions across mid-caps and select micro-caps, while keeping a portion of my portfolio in stables to deploy at lower prices if the opportunity presents itself. I’m currently running zero leverage, and that has been the case since we longed $BTC at 59K and reclaimed the weekly 50 MA. I have no intention of taking unnecessary risks with leverage in this market. Interestingly, the overwhelming consensus calling for further downside is making me increasingly bullish. As that thesis becomes more crowded, it reminds me of 2022–2023, when seemingly everyone was calling for $BTC to reach 12K. Consensus isn’t always wrong, but when a trade becomes this one-sided, it’s worth considering the alternative scenario. My key level remains the weekly 50 MA, currently around 75.8K. A sustained loss of that level would make me more cautious and potentially prompt me to begin de-risking. Until then, I’m comfortable holding my positions well into next year, potentially beyond, while selectively trading certain positions level to level as the market moves higher.

$BTC D1 / H4 Not much has changed, with price continuing to trade within a range-bound environment. Yesterday, we saw another attempt to reclaim the previous range, which was ultimately rejected. Bears remain in control of the lower timeframes while price continues to trade below 81.2K. On the H4, bulls are doing a good job defending the 79.5K–80K region. They need to hold this area to prevent price from testing the range lows around 76K–77K a move that would likely bring further downside pressure across the market. Key levels I’m watching: Reclaim 81.2K: A successful reclaim and acceptance back above the previous range lows would signal a shift in short-term control back towards the bulls. Lose 79.5K: Acceptance below this level would give bears further control and open the door to a potential move towards 76.5K.

$BTC Did we really expect the start of this bull cycle to be a straightforward, one-way move to the upside? I’m sharing a fractal from the previous cycle, highlighting the period when Bitcoin first closed above the 50-week MA following the bear market. As you can see, price didn’t immediately take off. Instead, we entered an extended period of consolidation before the eventual breakout. The similarities with current price action are hard to ignore. Don’t let bearish sentiment cloud your judgement or abandon your thesis simply because price is pulling back. Volatility, uncertainty and extended periods of consolidation are all part of the process. This is exactly the type of price action I’ve been discussing over the past couple of months, preparing you for what I believed was a realistic scenario to play out. Stay objective, stick to your plan, and remember that a fractal is a reference point, not a guarantee of what comes next.

I think we’re reaching a point where downside expectations are becoming increasingly overcrowded. Those waiting for the perfect entry at $76K BTC or sub-$2K ETH may find themselves caught off guard if the market reverses before reaching those levels. Personally, I’m at the stage where I’m no longer willing to let short-term market manipulation and volatility shake me out of a thesis I still believe in, only to watch it play out as anticipated. I’m comfortable holding my current positions and gradually adding to them as price moves lower, provided the broader thesis remains intact. I don’t need to catch the exact bottom; I want to build exposure at favourable levels without allowing market noise to dictate my decisions.

$VIRTUAL at a very interesting level here on the daily. Monitoring the overall market situation closely and looking at adding more around here.

$ALTS I’d like to see #TOTAL3 find support and bounce from these EMA bands. This is a critical support zone, and holding these levels is essential to preserving the current bullish market structure. A sustained loss of this support would weaken the bullish outlook, so this is a key area to monitor closely.

$ETH I won’t sugarcoat it: Ethereum doesn’t look good after losing its range low. The only hope now is that the daily 200-day moving average, currently around $2,156, provides support and that ETH quickly reclaims $2,400. Otherwise, the possibility of trading toward the range lows around $1,950 becomes increasingly likely.
$ETH We really need to see buyers step in here, as a loss of this level could get ugly. As highlighted on the chart, there is significant market inefficiency below $2,360 that could leave price vulnerable to further downside. A break of this support could open the door to a move back towards $1.9K. Under normal circumstances, I would consider a long entry here with tight invalidation, using lower-timeframe acceptance below support as my exit trigger. However, given that it is Sunday, I am less inclined to take the trade. For now, $2,360 is the key level to watch.
