I had a gracious and wonderful lady reach out to me a few days ago, asking how I was doing. I've known her for many years, but had not been in contact for a long time. Today I was having lunch with my son after shopping. 1/1
3/1 When I reached to take the container, her dogs came to the door jumping and barking, and she followed behind, apologizing, and she stepped outside. We chatted briefly, and she told me about the cookies. She made some, but her husband had made the majority.
Yes sir, it is, and we are. Peace will come eventually, I hope. I've been taking it a day at a time. Some are unthinkably difficult, and some are not. I find myself trying not to meltdown, but then I do and it actually helps to release the stress.

I find it cruelly ironic that I received my wife's permanent Handicapped parking permit that was applied for in JUNE, on the same day as I received her Death certificates. Way to go, MN DPS, your timing was fucking perfect.
Had a joint memorial service today for my adult son, and my wife of 43 yrs. So thankful for the support of a tight knit family, extended family, and incredibly caring friends. Time to move forward with their help.
