We're opening access to anyone (no Perplexity account needed), and we will run all tasks delegated via email for free for a limited time. Forward or CC computer@perplexity.com to get started, and the agent will complete the task in the background while keeping the email context.

When frontier labs talk of “aligning” models, ask: to what? If they say values, ask: whose? If it’s theirs rather than the user’s: why?
Giving away compute for free is the game. We realised it as soon as DeepSeek moment happened in late 2024. We got together and started building @GeonSocial where we wanted to build the next complete platform for creators and give away free compute.
When I talked about it in January 2025, when compute was so costly, everyone thought that I was crazy. But I knew this is inevitable. As the big players join the race, compute provisioning will become the game.
Over the last couple of years we built the system, talked to hundreds of creators, and realized that their workflows need the na of tokens, and we set out to build it.
The market has finally come to a realisation that giving away tokens for free is not a feature but a necessity to win.
I've been in SF a few times and every single time it's all of this and more. There is no parallel to SF.

There is finally a voice loud enough that is thinking straight and isn't scared in the face of change. This is leadership and this is impressive and needed.
Last month I wrote about how we can build a positive and safe future for everyone: meta.com/thefutureisforevery…
Every lab has the responsibility and incentive to move at the pace required to train its models safely, and the ability to take its own actions to ensure that happens.
The reality is:
- People won't want to use agents that are misaligned with them and that don't do what they ask, so labs have a strong natural incentive to make their models more aligned.
There is a lot of debate about slowing progress on capabilities until alignment catches up. My view is that trust and alignment are quickly becoming the most important capabilities that will differentiate agents and models. Any lab that doesn't focus on alignment will fall behind.
- Labs face significant liability if their models cause harm, so they have a strong incentive to prevent this as well.
Meta delayed shipping Muse for several months to focus on safety and security. We didn't call for everyone else to do this before we would. We just did it as part of our day-to-day work because it was clearly the right thing for people and for us. I'm proud of the security foundations we've built.
- Engaging independent evaluators and advisors is industry best practice. MSL already does this today in several areas because it helps produce better work. Other labs can just do this too. In general, it would be helpful for there to be a larger and more diverse ecosystem of evaluators.
- Committing the significant majority of compute towards serving people rather than racing towards recursive self-improvement is one of the best ways to ensure we develop this technology safely. Meta has made this commitment and other labs can do this as well.
I believe the key to building a positive future for everyone is maintaining the right balance of power. This is within our power to do.

Robotaxis won’t just kill short haul flights. Once you can sleep in them, they’ll cannibalize long routes too.
Imagine getting into your Tesla in Austin at 10 PM, make the lie flat seat/bed comfortable, and going to sleep.
While you sleep, the car drives, charges itself, and keeps going.
You wake up at 9 AM in Aspen, refreshed.
The key is perceived travel time.
A 10-hour robotaxi trip where you sleep for 8 hours may feel shorter than a 3-hour flight that requires an Uber to the airport, arriving early, security, boarding, the flight, baggage claim, and another Uber.
Autonomous cars won’t just compete with driving.
They turn sleep into transportation.

After 15 years of investing, we realised that truly exceptional founders have something impossible to fake; deeply unconventional lives.
We analysed 15,000 founders using five binary signals to measure this: quirky hobbies, early-life signs of exceptionalism, extreme life pivots, unusual geographies, non-linear careers. These sum to give a 0-5 score per founder. Whether someone started coding at age 10, speaks five languages, climbed Everest or quit a safe job to live in Chile, the signal we wanted was deviation from the mean.
Rather than focusing on IQ or EQ, we call this metric the Outlier Quotient, or “OQ”. When forecasting founder success, it turns out that OQ was the single most predictive variable in our entire classification model, trained on ~70 different factors.
Our OQ score had zero correlation with having worked at a top-tier company or attending an elite university. The signals most VCs rely on are noise without signal. The best founders don’t signal like everyone else, don’t think like everyone else and certainly don’t build like everyone else.
This is one of the best articulations of the market I've seen so far. We at @GeonSocial truly believe this and are building towards it.
For a truly personal AI, be it agents or platforms, two factors are critical. There should be abundance in tokens or inference, and there needs to be higher ceiling for context that the AI can use economically.
Without these two fundamental elements, any agentic harness is always going to be a step away. But the upside is huge. Almost all of the commerce will happen through these systems and platforms and hopefully we get to facilitate some of it through Ge-on.
Personal assistant agents are going to be a very exciting AI category. It’s the first time you can have high token volume agentic use-cases that make sense for consumers.
Lots of different approaches emerging right now, and it’s going to be hyper competitive because these agents will mediate a lot of consumer spend over time.
But this certainly plays directly to Meta’s strengths: lots of compute required, can monetize with ads and commerce, software focused experiences so can distribute it at scale, and so on.
This is one step forward towards the best way to enable abundance in compute and inference for everyone.
We’re sharing a solution to the Navier-Stokes Millennium Prize Problem, one of the deepest problems at the frontier of mathematics.
The proof was produced by a group of agents, using an OpenAI next-generation model significantly more capable than GPT-6 Astra.
The problem concerns whether the description of smooth three-dimensional fluid motion modeled by the Navier-Stokes equations can break down. It has remained unresolved for roughly 90 years.

I’m a retired brain surgeon and I wanna tell you why you feel like life is passing by. I just need one minute to explain this to you so hang in there.
Repetitive daily routines stop the brain from recording clear detailed memories. When every day looks the same, your brain does not track time the same as a clock does. It tracks change. If nothing new happens then days, months, and years start to blur together.
This is know as Time compression. When life lacks variety, your brain compresses past days together, making it feel like time is sped up.
To stop feeling like life is passing you by, add new experiences to your life. Break routine habits, like changing your daily home routine, taking a different route to work, or trying a new hobby.
Schedule small trips or plan new adventures so your days do not blend together.
Practice mindfulness by staying fully focused on what you are doing right now and not trying to race off to the next task.
Keep a journal and write down happy memories or memorable parts of the day before you go to sleep.
Take deep, calm breaths when you feel anxious or rushed to return your focus to the moment.
You can and you will retrain your brain to not feel like life is passing you by by following these few simple measures.

I'm starting a blog series around creators.
Short notes on what we believe at @GeonSocial, why we are building what we are, and how we think the future of AI progresses for the consumer.
Everyone will be a creator in the AI age!
Consensus estimate is that ~15GW of AI compute produced in 2027 cannot be turned on in 2027.
This is harder than just finding power, as you also need to build out all the transformers, wiring, liquid-cooling, (massive) chillers & complex networking. grok.com/share/bGVnYWN5_4f06…
