NORTH CAROLINA INTERIM VOTER REGISTRATION CHANGES (9/12-9/19)
This past week,Dems outregistered Reps 1,629-347, while Inds saw a 4,635 net voter gain. This caused the GOP plurality to narrow from 8,325 to 7,043 voters, even as Inds "remain #1" with a 40.8% (and growing)

20 days until regular voter registration ends Fri Oct 9
26 days until early vote starts Thurs Oct 15
31 days until absentee request deadline Tues Oct 20
42 days until early vote ends Sat Oct 31
45 days until election Tues Nov 3.

USPS Postmaster General Steiner suggests if you are mailing back an absentee ballot you do so SEVEN days before the election (thus mail back by Tues Oct 27) Personally I suggest you mail AT a blue box AT the port office. Alternatively in NC you can personally deliver it to the county board of elections office that issued the ballot, weekday business hours (starting Oct 15 it can also be personally delivered to an early voting site) apnews.com/article/trump-mai…

At Vote Tracker, 4,669 ballots have been accepted in the Nov 3 election.
Democrats have slipped to less than half of all accepted ballots for the first time. I expect continued Democratic slippage, but they will likely remain over 40% of all absentee ballots. Link below. #nopol

Durham Co NC posts absentee ballot stats each day at close of business. 52 ballots were accepted today, increasing yesterday's cumulative total of 224 to 276, a 23% jump. There have been 3,155 absentee requests. See accepted ballot stats and request ballo stats in images. #ncpol

Just mailed in a voted Wake Co absentee ballot, I used the drop slot INSIDE a USPS Post Office. Postage is $1.98 or 3 forever stamps. Another option at this point is delivery in person to the county board of elections office that issued it, weekdays during business hours. #ncpol

At Vote Tracker, 3,212 ballots have been accepted in the November 3 election. 3,497 had been accepted at a similar point in 2022, but only 315 at a similar point in 2018.
As expected, women now outnumber men.
