I’m not a fic writer but I would not be here drawing fanart and participating enthusiastically in fandom if it weren’t for the honestly under appreciated fic writers of fandoms who opened my mind to lots of ships & ideas I would otherwise not have considered or grown to like/love

At least I was trying to be better than I was.

fanartists: hey pls don’t share my drawings publicly without consent
ppl: understandable👍
fanfic writers: hey pls don’t share my stuff on docs or something without my consent
ppl: you suck, what did you expect to happen when you uploaded it to a site with a download button🫵😂

This is NOT what people on twitter are arguing about and I’m tired of you all being so disingenuous.
The download button on AO3 is an entirely different button than the UPLOAD button on google.
Yes we gave you permission to download. We did NOT give you permission to upload!

there’s a Grok button on twitter. doesn’t mean we have to use it.
also that’s a Download button, not an “upload to google drive/other site” button. be fucking serious
