Somewhere out there a billion dollars worth of programs just vanished. Grants gone. Contracts gone. Services gone. Real people who were told help was coming just found out Donald Trump decided otherwise
This isn't governance. This is a man who thinks he's a king testing how far he can push before someone with actual power stops him
And you know what's coming next. Nobody is going to stop him. Not the courts fast enough. Not a Congress too fractured to act. Not a party too scared of his base to say the word "unconstitutional" out loud
Every dollar he steals today is a rehearsal for the dollar he steals tomorrow

A federal judge said she had never seen prosecutorial conduct like this. The felony charges got dropped with prejudice. The prosecutor who ran the case just resigned, naming the US Attorney she says ordered it, then opened an inquiry into her instead.

Ethan, yes — I read the Phase III trial designs.
Pfizer and Moderna were randomized, placebo-controlled trials designed primarily to test prevention of symptomatic COVID, not to prove permanent sterilizing immunity or zero transmission. Moderna’s primary endpoint was symptomatic COVID; severe COVID was a secondary endpoint. New England Journal of Medicine
The trials showed very large reductions in symptomatic disease, and later follow-up showed strong protection against severe disease. Moderna’s blinded follow-up also found reduced asymptomatic infection, but that was not the original primary endpoint. New England Journal of Medicine
So if someone claimed in 2020 that the Phase III trials had already proven no infection and no transmission, that claim went beyond what those trials established.
But that is very different from pretending the trials proved nothing.
This is why reading the protocol matters more than reading somebody’s retrospective mythology about it.
It wasn’t that the medical establishment simply “got some things wrong” I think the larger issue was instead of directing their criticism inward towards themselves they directed them outward and got swept up into an us vs them mentality.
This meant a handful of ideas were believed to have been proven prematurely from the medical side and they disparaged those who disagreed until their opinions were overturned with studies.
An example could be the vaccine and its clinical phase III trials.
1. Did you read their design when they were being done or after?
2. Did you critique their design and what they could prove?
3. Did you critique the statements and beliefs based on claims that those studies couldn’t prove?

MS NOW's Akayla Gardner was the first journalist turned away from the White House last weekend after Donald Trump barred CNN, MS NOW and Politico – her press pass was confiscated at the security gate.
Then a federal judge temporarily restored the outlets' access. Gardner came back, and Saturday morning she got the chance to confront Trump himself.
“Do you only want outlets that support you to be a part of the press pool?” Gardner asked as Trump prepared to leave for Tennessee.
“No, no, no,” Trump replied. “I want real news, not fake news – like you.”
Then, almost immediately, came quite a declaration.
“I love an open, free press,” Trump insisted, before launching into attacks on CNN and MS NOW.
Gardner kept pressing.
“Do you not want tough questions, sir?”
“Wait, wait. Quiet,” Trump shot back, raising a finger at her before continuing to denounce the networks as “fake news.”
“Do you not want tough questions, sir?” Gardner asked again.
Meanwhile, CNN was supposed to provide television pool coverage aboard Air Force One for Trump's Saturday trip to Tennessee, but the White House barred the network from the flight. LindellTV, owned by My Pillow guy Mike Lindell, and Real America's Voice instead served as the secondary television pool.
Gardner herself pointed out the connection afterward. “LindellTV and Real America’s Voice, two outlets that are very much aligned with the president’s vision, are the designated TV pool for today,” she said, adding that when Trump complained about “fake news,” he singled her out.
“He pointed at me at one point, talked about CNN, talked about MS NOW, so making very clear there that he continues to want to exclude us,” Gardner said.
“But we were, I should say, allowed into this open press event today.”
A week earlier, Gardner was reporting from outside the White House gates after her credential stopped working. On Saturday, she was back on the other side – asking the question Trump’s media crackdown was designed to avoid.
Turns out taking away a reporter’s pass doesn’t make the questions go away.
