Prediction markets are usually presented as a simple product. Pick an event, make a prediction, wait for the outcome. The infrastructure underneath is a much bigger part of the system. @PRDCTR_IO is building that infrastructure through its own AppChain designed specifically for prediction markets. The network uses $PRD for gas and other network activity, while nodes help keep the chain running. Predictor.io is the first application running on it. That distinction matters because PRDCTR Network is not the prediction app itself. It is the underlying environment that can support multiple applications and market categories. That could include markets around sports, crypto, technology, finance and other real world events, with the network handling the activity underneath each application.
