Make no mistake about it. This election was about women. Our candidate's only failure was her gender.
The backlash was breathtaking. We are a country of voters who chose a vulgar, racist, unhinged authoritarian rather than respect for the women in their lives.

I have built on #HaltheHotDogGuy’s points of the many complicated #approvals #grants #Oakland has worked on for a #DownrownStadium. #MLB: Go if you must, but don’t insult & lie about our city and fans. We don’t deserve this.
Just some of our #inactions:
✅When the #A’s wanted to go to San Jose we immediately met with #CommissionerSelig (who was encouraging)
✅We joined with #Oakland business leaders and funded a study showing the viability of a #HowardTerminal ballpark & gave it to the #Athletics & #MLB
✅I personally met with then owner #LewWolff who wanted to move the team next to his big #SanJose developments and he said we had “nothing to offer”
✅ The #PortofOakland noting the shallow basin & low usage at HT approved an exclusive negotiating period for a stadium proposal at the site.
✅The Port approved the #Athletics plan under Fisher
✅#CityofOakland approves the #EIR #EnvironmentalImpactReport
✅The City defends successfully agst EIR lawsuit
✅City passed agreement for tax district that would allow project to collect taxes to pay for infrastructure
✅#AlamedaCounty joined district
✅ San Francisco Bay Conservation & Development Commission #BCDC rezoned land for stadium project
✅City won over $400 million in grants for freeway, sea wall & park improvements
✅City hired mediator to negotiate final details
❌Fisher got cold feet announces Las Vegas deal
