The reason all this crazy stuff is happening in the NHL (Larkin and Hellebuyck situations, constant injuries, etc) is because Jeff Skinner's presence provided a necessary stabilizing force and in his absence the NHL cannot maintain homeostasis. We are in NHL anomie without him
