I recently read "Software Architecture with C# and .NET 8". Here's why you should consider this book. 👇 It starts from the fundamentals. When was the last time you read about the waterfall model in a book? Maybe we've been relying too much on Agile. It also discusses Non-Functional Requirements and how they can impact your choice of software architecture. You'll also read about best practices for coding in C#. Remember, simple code is good code. The authors discuss coupling, maintainability, cyclomatic complexity, etc. Domain-driven design is an unavoidable topic in today's software development. This chapter focuses more on tactical patterns. The authors also touch on CQRS and Event sourcing. Here are a few more topics that you'll read about: - Service-oriented architecture - Microservices architecture - Serverless cloud functions - SQL and NoSQL databases - Kubernetes Overall, I enjoyed this book, and I think you will, too. You can grab your copy here: amzn.to/43ctrEn --- 𝗣.𝗦. If you liked this, you will love The .NET Weekly newsletter. Join 49,000+ engineers to improve your .NET and software architecture skills. Happy 6⃣ years in the open to us! 🎂🥳🎉 Six years ago at #msbuild we open-sourced @UnoPlatform with the vision to make .NET developers as productive as possible, developing beautiful apps for all platforms supported by @dotnet . github.com/unoplatform/uno 2 million lines of code later, a lot has happened and we couldn't be more appreciative of the community and clients we've gather since then, as well as support from @dotnet , @VisualStudio and @WindowsUI teams - THANK YOU.

One of the major downsides of caching in general is that by definition the data is not fresh. However, this downside can often be mitigated - while still reaping the performance benefits of caching - using micro caching. #caching #aspnet bit.ly/3RHh79H
