Bruce Springsteen: “I’m speaking to election officials and representatives of our government on Election Day: You have sworn an oath to preserve, protect, and defend our Constitution. That means you have a solemn duty to ensure our votes are securely counted. Thomas Jefferson said government requires the consent of the governed. You who represent us must never consent to any directives that undermine our constitutional right to a free and fair election. Our vote is our voice and it’s up to you to ensure that our voice is heard”

Niko on Bobby Durkin, his game, and keeping him away from the court in the eight-day gap between Creighton and North Dakota games:
"I mean, he works so hard at it. I mean, he is just a, you know. I say there's like it, love it, live it, guys. He's a live it guy, you know, and all the great ones are. I mean, he just. In fact, this week, you know, we had eight days after the Creighton game, and you know, we have what we call sometimes a get-what-you-need day, and I told him and a couple other guys that he's not allowed to pick up a ball.
He was a little run down. I said, "You're not allowed to pick up a ball today. I will not see you in the gym, and if you do, you know, trouble." And he listened to me, you know, and that's hard for him to do. But this morning, I came into the office. Who's in the gym getting shots up? It's Bobby Durkin."

Niko's opening statement after tonight's win vs. North Dakota:
"Good to get that first one under our belt. Always nerves, I think, on the opener. That's a well-coached group over there. I mean, they do a great job of moving the ball and staying stubborn that way how they play. But I thought we did a lot of good things tonight. I mean, you look at it, and you know, 28 assists to nine turnovers. Their defense is predicated on turning you over. And although we weren't perfect all the time with our execution, we didn't turn it over.
I thought that was really good to see. I thought we picked up the rebounding in the second half, and I thought Bobby, you know, kind of changed the game in the first half with those threes, and in the second half, I thought when we subbed and Malik and Nolan Groves came in, I thought that really broke it to another level. So good team effort tonight. We'll enjoy it and regroup for Friday."
