Back in 2019, I became friends online with a guy from Peru. I used to send him money in exchange for inside information about the local football league, as he worked as a sort of journalist and knew a lot of players.
One day, he told me a friend of his who worked at a betting shop had seen UTC Cajamarca players betting on their own match. Apparently, the game was fixed: the away team would lead at half-time, and the home team would come back to win.
I trusted his tip, and that’s exactly what happened. It was one of the most blatant cases of match-fixing I’ve ever seen in my life. But won me big money
