Dr. Marandi: "People across the world don't sympathize with the Saudis and they don't sympathize with the Israeli regime and they don't sympathize with the United States.
The US is not behaving like a normal country. It's destroying country after country. It's been trying to crush Iran for 47 years. Our cemeteries are full of dead people thanks to wars imposed on us by the US.
I survived two chemical attacks. Who gave those chemicals to Saddam? The West. Yet the West calls itself the good guy. That works in US schools, on CNN, on Fox. But in the rest of the world, people see reality."

In 1938, the British Army trained Zionist fighters to raid Palestinian villages. British officer Orde Wingate formed the Special Night Squads and taught Haganah members—including future ITF commanders Yigal Allon and Moshe Dayan—night raids, ambushes, and collective punishment tactics against Arab villages during the Palestinian Revolt.
Ten years later, those same students led the attack on the Palestinian town of al-Lidd (Lydda). In July 1948, Allon commanded Operation Dani. Dayan led a raid through the town. Israeli forces killed hundreds of Palestinians (including civilians sheltering in a mosque) and expelled nearly the entire population—tens of thousands of people—in one of the largest expulsions of the Nakba.
British training in 1938, Zionist application in 1948. The continuity is documented.

Goethe was so struck by Hafez that he wrote the West-Eastern Divan — an entire poetry collection — as a conversation with him across centuries. He also impressed Emerson and Nietzsche.
But in Iran, he sits on every family's shelf next to the Quran. When people don't know what to do, they open his book at random and read whatever line fate gives them. On the streets, small birds pick Hafez cards for strangers.
He used wine as a metaphor for divine ecstasy, the tavern as a refuge from pretence, and love to the God as the only honest path to truth.
Happy Hafez Day.

I think Israel and its supporters are on the back foot. They see the same polls that we see, and instead of changing policy, they're trying to change the narrative.
