Look at the code WIRED pulled from Flock’s own servers. Flock built an AI tool called OS Investigate.🚨👀 It accesses "commercial databases that contain Social Security numbers, dates of birth, phone numbers, email addresses, relatives and associates." It also accesses "police case files, 911 dispatch logs, and commercial identity records." The prompts can generate dossiers ("workups") on people based purely on driving patterns, without a crime, a plate, or a name. It Can identify drivers, track patterns, find "witnesses," generate suspicion based on behavior without a target. Code was found publicly on Flock's website. 🚨 Flock is performing automated, suspicionless background checks (pulling SSNs, DOBs, relatives) using commercial databases on citizens who have committed no crime, have no warrant, and are not named in any case file. The trigger is purely an AI algorithm flagging their driving pattern. 🚨 NO officer initiates the search for the suspect, Flock's AI essentially acting as the investigator, but doing so through commercial data brokers. Flock pulls consumer reports without a permissible purpose. ⚠️⚠️ Why did Flock build OS Investigate? Because selling LPR cameras is a hardware game with limits. Selling an "AI investigator" is a high-margin SaaS play. To justify the valuation ($1B+), they need to monopolize the investigative workflow. To do that, they fused LPR data (which they hold) with police records (CJI) and commercial data (SSNs). ⚠️ Why are they doing this? Because Flock’s hardware is a commodity. The cameras are just metal on a pole. The real valuation the nearly $1 billion in venture capital is in their proprietary datasets. To justify that valuation, they have to build a total surveillance map of America that links physical movement to full digital and financial identities. They cannot legally buy that data on the open market because of the FCRA. So they built an AI to force the police to pull it for them. Flock gets the fused data, the police get the dossier, and Flock gets to declare the new AI-generated identity maps as "Flock Property" under their contracts. ⚠️⚠️ Flock is using the police as a legal shield to run unauthorized mass identity resolution queries for their own proprietary training and profit. The "perpetual license" terms gives Flock ownership of these AI-generated dossiers. They are building a national private surveillance database of SSNs linked to movement patterns, bypassing the FCRA by routing the queries through police terminals.🚨 Now look at their new August 2026 "Trust" updates. They announced a reduction in data retention to 7 days, but they created an exception called "Evidence Mode" where searched data is preserved instead of aging out. 🚨 Here is the trap. If they actually deleted data in 7 days, their AI prompts which ask for people "arrested more than twice in two years" would not function.🚨 The AI needs a multi-year historical window to track patterns. "Evidence Mode" is the backdoor they built to force all searched data into permanent retention so their AI can keep running. The 7-day retention is theater for the city councils. The permanent retention is the actual product.🚨 And the Audit Assistance" they say is to catch police misuse? It is a complete deception. The audit logs track the police officer. But the AI generates the lead before the officer interacts with the system. The AI does the suspicionless searching in the backend. The officer just clicks the prewritten prompt. The audit log captures the officer clicking a button, but it does not capture the unauthorized API calls Flock’s AI is making to the commercial databases to pull the SSNs. They built the logging system to cover their own corporate trail.🚨 wired.com/story/flock-safety…

So THIS is why Mark Carney’s trade deal collapsed. After months of “constructive” talks, “progress” and assurances from Ottawa, Carney finally tells Canadians what happened. He says the U.S. demanded: • Medium and heavy-duty trucks excluded from the auto deal. • Restrictions on Canada signing other trade deals. • Restrictions affecting Canadian language, culture and sovereignty. Carney says those last-minute demands killed the deal. Fair enough. But Carney was elected as the “master negotiator.” Canada was told his experience and connections were exactly what we needed to deal with Trump. Now there’s no deal. At some point, Canadians are allowed to judge the negotiator by the negotiation.
Mark Carney explains Canada’s withdrawal from U.S. trade negotiations. Full 23-minute speech. No clipping. After more than a year of negotiations, Canada’s negotiators are coming home and another tariff fight is beginning. Here is Carney’s explanation: ▪️ 00:00 Canada is “walking away from a bad deal.” ▪️ 03:58 “We cannot accept what they’ve offered and we will not give what they’ve asked.” ▪️ 07:28 Carney explains the latest threatened 50% U.S. tariffs. ▪️ 08:29 Canada was prepared to drop remaining retaliatory tariffs on steel, aluminum and autos if Washington substantially lowered theirs. ▪️ 09:10 Canada would encourage provinces to put U.S. alcohol back on shelves and make administrative moves around supply management. ▪️ 09:31 Carney says sovereignty, key industries, French language and culture were red lines. ▪️ 10:04 Says Washington suddenly demanded terms that were “uneconomic” and “unfair.” ▪️ 10:56 “They asked too much and they offered too little.” Negotiations suspended. ▪️ 11:21 Canada will now retaliate “dollar for dollar.” ▪️ 12:30 Carney admits those tariffs will raise prices and reduce choice for Canadians. ▪️ 13:18 onward The speech pivots into Carney selling his economic record, infrastructure plans, trade diversification and a Canada less dependent on the U.S. ▪️ 22:38 “We make our own weather.” That’s Carney’s case. Now Canadians get to decide whether this was Canada refusing a genuinely bad deal... Or the government explaining why a year of negotiating ended with no deal and another tariff war.

What if the man who arrogantly thinks he’s smarter than the markets and believes he can dictate oil prices, currencies, Treasury yields, and stock prices isn’t some economic mastermind, but just an incompetent fool with an astonishingly inflated sense of his own intelligence? Scott Bessent’s record as a hedge fund manager is hardly the stuff of legend. After leaving Soros in 2000, he launched a $1 billion fund that collapsed just five years later. In 2015, he co-founded Key Square Group with Michael Germino, a former Soros executive. The firm initially benefited from a $2 billion anchor investment from Soros, but the supposed success story quickly lost its shine. Assets under management plunged from $5.1 billion in 2017 to just $577 million in 2023, while institutional investors reportedly fell from 180 to a mere 20. Soros himself pulled his money in 2018. For someone now speaking with such authority about economic policy, Bessent’s own track record looks remarkably unimpressive. Strip away the grand rhetoric and the Wall Street credentials, and what remains is a career with some very uncomfortable numbers, and plenty of reason to question whether his claims of expertise are far more impressive than the results.

BREAKING: A Stars & Stripes reporter DEFIES Pete Hegseth by announcing that she works for her newspaper, not him or Trump — and ends up paying for it with her job. This is what journalistic courage looks like... "Today, I was informed that the Department of Defense is firing me for insubordination after I told a CBS reporter that I work for Stars and Stripes – not the Pentagon, not any administration, and not any policy maker," Lara Korte wrote on X. "I consider it a great privilege to live alongside members of the military and share their stories. It’s a shame for the institution and service members, who swore to defend the Constitution and deserve the right to a free and independent press." "I’m proud of the work my colleagues and I do at Stars and Stripes, especially the last six months covering the protracted conflict in Iran. Military families and service members have trusted us to share their experience with the world and I don’t take that lightly." "In the meantime, please read my latest story about the struggles that military families are going through right now. Hundreds have been stuck in limbo after evacuating Bahrain and are facing emotional and financial hardships," she concluded, linking to a story about the 1,300 U.S. Navy family members who were evacuated from Bahrain at the start of Trump's illegal war and who are now being told they cannot return for the "foreseeable future" and need to find new homes elsewhere. That story is worth a read in full, but this post is specifically about Korte's unceremonious termination. Her firing is part of a move by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to force out several top staffers at Stars & Stripes, including editor-in-chief Erik Slavin. Slavin, like Korte, was dismissed today for supposed "insubordination." Of course, under this regime, penning anything less than nonstop, fawning coverage of our pedophile President and his illegal Iran War is seen as "insubordination." Slavin recently condemned "hypothetical censorship" that could soon hit the paper. Publisher Max Lederer announced earlier this week that he would retire September 30 over fundamental differences with Pentagon leadership, only to receive a termination notice himself today. It comes after Hegseth installed MAGA apparatchik William Urban — who is an active-duty Navy captain and public affairs officer — as Lederer's deputy. Hegseth's tentacles have now snaked deeply inside the outlet. Stars & Stripes, an official military publication, has long enjoyed editorial independence from the whims of the political appointees running the Pentagon, but this White House doesn't believe in independence of any sort. One need look no further than the political prosecutions coming out of the Justice Department for evidence of that. They believe in making everything partisan, as all fascist movements do. The administration was particularly incensed by Stars & Stripes' coverage of the disgusting, inhumane conditions aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier, a state of affairs that has turned into a major scandal for the White House. The American people are outraged that our brave sailors are being abused by this administration in service of a failed, child-murdering war launched on behalf of Israel. "In firing the editor of Stars and Stripes, Pentagon leadership is making clear their view that the newsroom should exist not as an independent outlet whose reporting serves to benefit U.S. troops, but as a mouthpiece to parrot Pentagon talking points," said National Press Club President Mark Schoeff Jr., calling the firings "another brazen attempt by the Pentagon to dictate coverage of the military." Do you stand with these reporters? Please ❤️ and share to demand that Congress investigate the terminations!

This is a good point. Everyone focuses on the avalanche of recalls, but no one seems to ever mention that despite all this massive cost-cutting deregulation nothing got cheeper. The lettuce that makes you shit your pants costs 3-4 times as much as pre-RFK lettuce that didn’t.
The big food manufacturers finally got the deregulation that they wanted, but it didn’t result in our grocery prices going down. It resulted in our grocery prices going up and everyone getting diarrhea, listeria, salmonella, and E. coli.
