A family getaway to Great Wolf Lodge in Pennsylvania has ended in tragedy.
A father and his 3-year-old son were found stabbed to death inside a guest room at the popular family resort in the Pocono Mountains on Monday, October 12th.
The child’s mother, Metallica Rose Harrison (27), has been charged with two counts of criminal homicide. She is from Towanda.
According to reporting on the criminal complaint, police responded to the resort after Harrison called 911 and expressed suicidal thoughts.
Inside the room, officers discovered her husband, Charles Harrison, deceased on the mattress. Their 3-year-old son was found deceased on the floor. 😢
Investigators allege Charles suffered multiple stab wounds to his chest, while the little boy suffered a stab wound. Two knives were recovered from the bathroom.
Metallica Harrison was found with injuries to her wrist and neck and was transported to a hospital. 🙄
The family had reportedly been staying at the resort since September 21st, with their reservation time extended through October 13th.
Great Wolf Lodge confirmed that a domestic incident occurred in a guest room and described it as an isolated family incident.
What is going on? It feels like we are hearing about more and more mothers accused of killing their own children and families.
