Men please go build something!
God loves to bless humble and courageous men. He will strengthen you by His grace and against all odds establish the labor of your hands in ways you can’t imagine. Short story incoming…
Three years ago, I was pastoring a church on an island in Thailand. I was sitting on a beach, having spent years away from my nation, my countrymen, and my people, dreaming about returning home to California to plant a church.
I wanted to see God reclaim one of the most apostate states in our nation. I remember thinking, What can one man do? And am I really the man for the job?
I envisioned a church with traditional liturgy, happy families singing psalms, faithful men leading their homes, a classical school educating our children, and a community marked by fellowship, feasting, and laughter. All of it rooted among my own people, in my own home state.
Around that time, people were talking about “fight by flight.” The idea was that we needed to leave places like California to build the kind of Christian communities we wanted elsewhere.
But I had already left. I had flown halfway around the world. And after years away from home, I wanted nothing more than to return and fight for California by moving toward it in faith.
You could call it fight by faith.
Well, today, three years after that day on the beach, I woke up before sunrise with my wife and our four children. We got our two oldest ready for St. George’s Christian Academy, the classical Christian school established this year to serve the families of Shasta Reformed Church, the congregation we planted two years ago.
You heard that right. The church got planted.
We have one man in the process of being ordained as our second elder and three more men currently in elder training. We have baptized men, women, and children. Eleven people have taken membership vows in the past year. We have a school taught by three men. Our children are reading Plutarch and learning Latin. Families are worshiping the Lord and growing together in loving fellowship.
Three years ago, these were the things I was dreaming about on a beach halfway around the world. Today, by the grace of God, we are watching them take shape in our own backyard.
Is the work finished? Not even close. There is much more to be done. But the Lord has been faithful, and we have every reason to keep building.
Brothers, we don’t need to spend our lives fleeing the ruins. We need to plant churches, raise families, educate our children, train faithful men, build institutions, and establish communities ordered under the lordship of Jesus Christ.
No more fight by flight.
How about fight by faith?
By the grace of God, we’ll build, we’ll plant, we’ll sing, we’ll feast, and we’ll raise our children here.
And by God’s grace, we’ll have our home again. 🫡

Something we have in Ogden that I don't think anybody else really has but want everyone to enjoy: Laughter.
We are friends with each other. We really like being around each other. And we laugh with each other constantly.
Austere reformed orthodoxy will not be found here.
What are you doing today?
I bet my day is better than yours 😎

Wild how:
Muslims have Muslim nations
Jews get a Jewish nation
Buddhists have Buddhist nations
Hindus have Hindu nations
But Christians are only allowed to have Secular Liberal Multi Cultural Democracies™️
The new book by @New_Christendom “The Longhouse” is A MUST READ! If the first 20 pages can’t convince you that feminism seeks to destroy everything good, true, and beautiful about our society then nothing will.
Phenomenal job guys! @Brian_Sauve & @Eric_Conn 🫡

I love my neighbors enough to enthusiastically support mass deportations and denaturalizations.
Do you?
It is not a sin to love your country.
It is not a sin to demand that even those who profess Christ be held accountable to the law.
It is not wrong to want a black, illegal Ghanaian immigrant arrested and deported.
And it is not wrong to grieve when a family is torn apart by sin.
Justice and compassion are not enemies. Christians should have the courage to insist upon both.
I agree with @Brian_Sauve. Unfortunately Many Americans, and many American Christians don’t have the stomach for what needs to be done to assure a future home for our children and our children’s children.

We actually want deportations and denaturalizations.
We want our grandchildren to have a country to inherit.
Yes, we really mean it. We have all along. We are not sorry.

guy: “do not politicize the gospel”
same guy: “the gospel commands us to welcome the immigrant”
Christians have NO business trying to “reform” liberalism. The entire liberal house is built upon anti-Christian principles. The entire house must be demolished and we must rebuild!
Spent time in Ogden this week. Great men doing great things! 🫡 @Eric_Conn @Brian_Sauve
