I am so lucky to be in Australia and to get to continue to help founders and the startup community in South Australia. Thanks to @JanaMatt, at @UniSA_CBG The Australian Centre for Business Growth for inviting me here 6 years ago and @UniversitySA @ICCUniSA for helping me stay!
We’re delighted to have Terry Gold on board as our second Entrepreneur in Residence to support local startups 💡@gtgold

No, thank you all! It has been a fantastic year and I am grateful to you all. I happened to drop by the ICC just this afternoon, but I'll be back again to see everyone I missed. I loved the videos you all did for me. It has been an honour. See you soon!
Our incredible EIR, @gtgold is taking a step back from his official duties. Thankfully it’s not goodbye as he will remain an important member of our ICC community, but we would like to take this time to express our gratitude to Terry Gold for his endless devotion & support.

In the first few weeks, we were all getting advice about how to handle self-isolation and the changes that have been suddenly put upon us. If you thought, "I'm fine" but now you're not, check out this advice from astronaut @Cmdr_Hadfield Watch the video ctvnews.ca/health/coronaviru…

The South Australian Department for Innovation and Skills is maintaining an email newsletter of the latest helpful information and online events for South Australian startups and small businesses. It's one of the best I've seen lately. @DeptInnovSkills us5.campaign-archive.com/?u=…

Here is an Adelaide event for SaaS companies. And they are using @Humanitix_Tweet for registrations which is cool. This is how you build community. Well done @NoelleSuze!

While I'm at it, the Techstars @StartupDigest Adelaide startupdigest.com/digests/ad… is a good place to look for events, curated by @joshgarratt and Danielle at @_southstart. If you know of events, get the details to them so we can have a good calendar for startups.

The Startup Sprint newsletter is a great overview of what is happening in the South Australia startup community. Must subscribe if you want to keep up with the hot new companies and events happening for startups.

Thank you @ICCUniSA! The photo you used was taken before I received the Distinguished Talent Visa. This one was taken after the "Welcome to Australia party" you threw for me. What you can't see here is I'm eating a Lamington and I have the jar of Vegemite you gave me.
Congratulations to our Entrepreneur in Residence & good friend Terry Gold who has received his distinguished talent visa & officially become a permanent resident of Australia! Brilliant news for the entire SA startup community. We are all ecstatic to not be losing @gtgold

8 years ago my team was deep into building Microsoft’s global speech recognition customer support system. Three months later I went to Adelaide to mentor startups for a week. Little did I know what that was going to lead to! Thanks @JanaMatt and @UniversitySA @AaronBirkby!
I was reminded today that it’s been almost 8 years since I facilitated my first @StartupWeekend. I was looking for photos of it and found these of the prototype I was building at the time for my IoT startup. So many emotions came rushing back. What were you building 8 years ago?

This blog post was written by a person that I spent just a little bit of time with as part of the @UniSA Startup Studio at the @ICCUniSA. What she doesn't realise perhaps is that I'm learning how to be a better mentor from her too. peerthinc.com/post/why-every…

Nicola being super proud and happy about the success of #SASpaceForum with over 1,000 in attendance after their humble beginnings in 2016 along with the attendance of @marshall_steven, @karenandrewsmp and @ScottMorrisonMP amongst many other space superstars.

I had one streak of 501, and then a break, and then I got to 1094 days straight. Had to do 1.6k or a mile to count. I used @SmashrunHQ website to keep track and it really helped. It’s not the healthiest way to run I guess but it kept me going. I need to start again!
Replying to @yasgrigaliunas
Awesome. Hey @gtgold, give Yas a target, what did you get your run streak to?
The physical infrastructure really is nice and I love being there, but it actually just shows the commitment @UniversitySA has made to entrepreneurship and startups. People are the most important component and the work could be done in any space really. Maybe an old classroom?
Couldn't agree more! I think they go hand in hand and all students would benefit from greater support of their EEE skills. Yes, it was great. I got very jealous (in the best way possible) of both the physical infrastructure as well as the model under which they operate.

It was really nice to meet you Michaela, and I hope you enjoy the rest of your time in Adelaide. For anyone else interested in contributing to a startup community, the book Startup Communities by Brad Feld shown here would be a great start. feld.com/books @bfeld
It was great to see the @ICCUniSA space and learn about nurturing startups & local communities from @gtgold. Lots of food for thought for how @UofGlasgow & @UofGAsbs can create a vibrant university ecosystem! 1/5 @UofGVC @UofGJohnFinch @Jillian21979739 @marionande1 #UofGFWC

The @ICCUniSA put up a blog post I wrote about @StartupWeekend and @_southstart. I believe that events like these, as well as the smaller monthly and weekly events, show how the SA startup community is growing. I've been here for almost four years and I see the positive changes!

It was good to see so many founders back at it yesterday! Lot's of talk about the new year and what to do in these few weeks while waiting for customers to return to work as well. Plan, prepare and stay healthy. You can't sprint a marathon so get the right mindset.
The ICC is officially back in the office & ready to get #2020 underway
