Those figures are wrong, and massively overstate the (already severe) sitaution. It was an ETH smart contract hack, so ETH and ETH tokens like USDT and USDC affected. But the USDT and USDC were already frozen, so no loss there. And BTC (and others) not affected.

Nothing was hacked on $BTC. The exploit abused EIP-7702 delegation on four Binance Ethereum wallets, that mechanism has no Bitcoin equivalent. The 18,270 BTC move was Binance consolidating its own hot wallet and coincidentally happened to be around the exploit time.

User funds are safe! It does look like a hack on Binance. Appreciate the quick freeze from Tether (~$971m) and Circle (~$823m). I don't manage Binance (.com) anymore, but as a shareholder, I expect all user funds will be fully covered.
