Started seeing posts around Payday Loans. Initially I thought it would be standard loans and people are just ranting about it.
But as I dig deeper, I realised what a big trap these loans are. People on my network, if you see lucrative offers around easy loans, please avoid.
These loans are worse than credit card loans.
So what are payday loans? These are predatory apps providing small ticket loans with minimal paperwork and instant approval.
They charge massive interest rate - in some cases 1% per day. Due to the small principal, people don’t realise the interest outflow. These apps are owned by associated entities and they lure you into taking more loans.
Psychologically, these small ticket loans don’t feel much but when you add them up across 20 apps with 1% interest each, the real game begins.
This is followed by taking more loans to pay previous ones and when the due amount goes out of hand, people seem unable to pay these loans.
Then starts the humiliation and threatening messages to call relatives and office.
Most people just settle or give-in with huge amounts, while others let it be while facing daily harassment. Business model is simple, with such high interest they only need a portion of people to comply and pay the interest.
So please beware! It’s easy to fall trap to such loans and they are designed to psychologically trap you into a vicious circle.
Somebody please remind them that they have a credit card business too.

Guys! If you are converting your Supercoins into Accor points, you are literally buying Accor points at 2₹ per point.
Supercoin is literally cash. Accor point isn’t cash. Please understand!
One thing about Visa Power Travel that many might miss.
The Amazon Pay Voucher accumulate in multiples of 1000. And reward rate is 10.5% + 10000 Jetsetter Bonus
So if you spend 1L, you are eligible for 10500 + 10000 Amazon pay, but you will get 10k + 10k. That’s effective 20%.
Spend another 5000, and you become eligible for another 1000. Which is 20% as well.
So if you are finding it difficult to achieve 1L on another visa card, continue spending till you hit ~1.05L (1.0476L to be precise)
Happy Spending!!
I don’t remember the last time I used HDFC Tata Neu Infinity card. It’s just sitting in the drawer being LTF.
It’s only moot was 5% returns on Tata affiliated partners. But today almost all of them available for cheaper via discounted voucher platforms.
Who is still using this card and for what purpose? Please enlighten me. 💁🏻♂️
Looks IDFC first bank sent the diamond reserve card to everyone without their explicit consent. Also heard cases where people got it even though they had cancelled the Vistara card.
Now they are calling people to check if they would like cancel or continue the card. 😂
Although it’s mostly useless but zero forex Lifetime Free is good to keep. You never know what offers Visa can throw in future.
I am not a big advocate of 2-3 card policy. I would be using 2-3 cards as primary but I do not cancel others as long as I can cover the annual fees. This came pretty handy during the VIsa Power Travel offer which is an absolute game of quantity of Visa cards than quality of the card.
Don’t use SBI for Visa Power Travel. So far they have declined all my transactions under security reasons. It’s fine to decline for higher amounts but smaller amounts like 500 is also getting declined.
Unblocking is easy through app but what’s the point of blocking everything when I have already confirmed that it was me.
As alerted. This is no longer 22%. Currently down to 14% which is still not bad!
Topcashback is offering 22% on Klook for limited time only. After that it will revert back to 6-18% mostly (in my experience, 6-8% is most common these days)
As per screenshot, this is only valid for next 2.5 hrs!!
Sign up, book now and think later! Most activities are cancellable later.

Everyone talking about Supercoin to Air India 33% bonus giving 1 => 0.66
But you can literally burn Supercoins on GoSats for credit card bills at 1 => 1.09₹ value.
That’s 65% more value out of your Supercoins.
Unless you have a planned redemption, I wouldn’t bother with the Air India bonus.
Japan has absolutely nailed this. Almost every airport is connected by train / subway / bus network.
The ones which are not connected will definitely have a limousine bus route taking you to the airport from main city.
Flat 100 Cashback available on Credit Card Bill of minimum 5000 on Paytm.
Normally I won’t bother but 2% return on CC bill is hard to pass. ;)
I was going through Japan’s foreign resident statistics when one thing really caught my attention.
As per June 2026 data, there are around 330k Nepalis living in Japan, making them the 5th largest foreign resident community, not too far behind Filipinos and South Koreans (at 360k and 400k respectively)
Meanwhile, the Indian population is just around 60k. I wonder what’s driving this huge difference, especially given how much larger India’s population is.
If we cancel a hopper booking from 2 months ago where we had 6000 accelerated points.
Will that increase the accelerated current month limit of current month from 18000 to 24000?
People beware when using IndusInd Eazydiner card for Visa Power Travel.
Half of my transactions are also getting declined and there is no pattern to it.
Amount as small as 500 got declined. While sometimes 5000 is going through.
Basically don’t rely on this card to complete the offer!
Use it only if you have a long stay and can complete with a hit rate of 50% declines.
Visa Power Travel came at absolute best time.
Forced me to reduce my Magnus usage because 20% is better than 14% any day.
I realised most of my cards are Mastercard. But will complete the offer on 7 Visa cards. That’s 1.4L of Amazon vouchers 😄
Need to apply for some Visa cards soon after the 7 cards are exhausted.
Cards I am using for the offer
1) Primary Infinia + 3 add-ons
2) Axis Atlas
3) Scapia
4) Indusind Eazydiner
Last year it was JCB with 25% cashback and this time it’s Visa. Who say’s the Golden Era is over? 😉
