just got accepted to YC with the application i wrote using claude who hired me to Anthropic, so happy to announce that i am joining Anthropic to work on nothing, so tired of love songs, so i reversed the offer into ChatGPT taste engine because taste is the new moat unless you love Corgi cafe while AGI is approaching so i just quit Anthropic to join Kimi then decided to leave and join OpenAI which opened my eyes to the rising moat called taste is the move to SF and distribution is king.

still going.
submitted the new version for apple to review.
also submitting a brand new social app that looks like a game at first.
the deceleration bomb from @DarioAmodei got too stressful, so i decided to fly far away to the corner of a small town near mississipi and go for a walk. it really is affecting all of us.
the first guy i see seemed highly stressed out. i mustered up the courage to walk up to him and whisper βare you afraid of AI misalignment too?β he goes βhavenβt slept. havenβt eaten. even my pet turtle whoβs 273 years old are stressed out.β he was tearing up so i hugged him, and kept walking.
now the oldest grandpa in town was banging his head against the door yelling βITβS ALL OVER. TOO MISALIGNED.β then with a blank stare kept talking to himself saying βway of the future. way of the future.β then just fainted.
then on my way back to the barn, reptilian scout kidnapped me looking sweaty and nervous. so i asked βet tu, reptilian?β and he nodded and started crying saying βwe are too misaligned to go back.β
it really is affecting all of us.

come for the story, stay for the network
coming soon. contrary to the crazy gpt 6 fueled 3D graphics, iβm going step by step starting with pixels.
Replying to @startupoppa
The little boat makes it feel like entering a place, which fits that βthird placeβ idea. Are people writing a shared story in this world, or exploring their own?
thank you gpt 6 astra. translated everything from the app to app store descriptions and now i have a very diverse pool of people from different countries paying for my app.
and this is a passive traffic purely from app store search, not paid ugc/ads.
still organic + ASO only.
holy shit. just tried gpt 6 astra.
i created an agent to go from ideation to exit with an app idea i had. from enrolling in harvard, dropping out, then raising $30m, to running paid ugc ads to get to $500k/mo, all while making $50K a month as an onlyfans influencer. she eventually exits to comcast, then she sends me all that money and iβm set for life.
then i woke up from the dream.
because of an onboarding issue i submitted the update while the revenue is tanking.
and apple rejected the app over some nonsense again. making some coffee to chill my shit

Aaaaaaand we're live!
outbid.lol
No ads. No API keys. No revenue sharing.
Just outbid your competitors to rank #1 and consider marketing done for today π
who did this
@haileeintern with the $69 bid π³

oh shit there's a bidding war started by @blankspac_e
my co founder @haileeintern is trending #1 at $69
#3 π
i localized my app to japanese, and did the ASO to surface it over the past weeks,
now japan is #1 above US market.
guess what, for the next version, i used a friend's tool to one click translate everything to 40+ more languages.
stay tuned. gonna be a wild wild ride π
reply if you want the tool too.

just end the debate. the truth is obvious:
Hard Paywall vs Free Trial
Hard Paywall is the no-brainer:
*if free trial incurs cost that exceeds your conversion
*if you are not confident about long term retention/true product quality.
Free Trial is the no-brainer:
*if it doesn't cost you anything
*if you are confident about long term retention/true product quality.
anyone giving absolute ultimatum have no idea what they are talking about.
i for one at my apps' current phase, put all of them on hard paywall for now precisely because of those two reasons: incurs cost, and retention is not there yet.
what the new X algo prioritizes is basically a content K factor - for every user who consumes it, how many send it to others?
whenever i shoot pieces that have some number of βshares,β
my download count reflects it. something to think about as you make your content
