Your electric and gas bills keep going up, & the Public Service Commission keeps approving rate increases. Our legislators elected the commissioners who make those decisions. These commissioners are not worried about how it financially strains you or your family. Vote in Nov!

I highlight how gaps in support begin  long before a child enters care with families facing long waits for services or declining access to intensive treatment.  npr.org/2026/09/30/nx-s1-553…

A lot of talking about helping, but DSS took action to help. Bryan Boroughs brought up 19/20. It’s true, DSS wasn’t spending what was needed when I arrived, we significantly increased spending & were helping a lot of families. He knows that, gave monthly updates. No mention.

It actually worked out in SC’s favor as there was more money to address the crisis than other states.

Are some lawmakers now criticizing implementation problems in a program that they themselves voted to create or expand, despite concerns about those very issues having been raised during the legislative process?

Tackling SC’s pre school discipline and suspension and expulsion problem. Great to facilitate an amazing panel on this issue. Shout out to all the professionals in this work.

It’s pretty dumb hearing @DrOz, @elonmusk and others talk about a “fertility problem” like we need more babies to fill jobs. Maybe look at the cost of houses, groceries, childcare and everything else it takes to raise a family. Babies aren’t the problem. The math is!!

It’s been hot this summer, no doubt, but let’s not forget Dominion hit us with two separate rate increases too. Not sure how everyone is keeping up. I’m guessing a lot more people are on payment plans than we realize.

U.S. adults ages 25–34 living with their parents: 1996: 12%
2006: 11.6%
2016: 16.1%
2026: ~20% In 30 years, the share has risen dramatically, especially since the mid-2000s. I wonder why? And they want you to keep having kids.

It’s important to ask why and since it’s anonymous, we really don’t know. Economic strain? Substance use? Rural OB/maternity access gaps? Housing instability? Public awareness? Most of these are not good.

This article is so worthless. Research shows work requirements kick eligible people off via paperwork, recertification, not jobs. That’s the reason for decline. Zero employment gains. Fewer people fed isn’t the same as more people working.

Who designed the new SC license plates? I see them everywhere and can’t really tell what it it. It’s like amateur clip art from the 90’s.
