ALT Hey everyone! For those who don’t know, I’m Nini, and I’m Annotate’s social media manager. As Smile said, we’ve seen your questions and concerns about Annotate lately, and we hear you. We know the silence has been frustrating, and we understand why many of you are worried or wondering where things stand. I wanted to reiterate that Annotate is still very much happening, and is still being worked on everyday! We’re a small team building this as a side project, so when one of us needs to step back, things naturally slow down. Nevertheless, we should have kept you in the loop sooner, and I’ll be making sure that you hear from us more regularly from now on. In the meantime, the community is very much alive! You can join us on Discord. We are truly sorry for the delay but we hope that you can bear with us a little longer: we’re giving this project everything we have and hope to get it out soon. The entire team is incredibly grateful for your patience! 🤍
![hey, booktwt. for those of you that don't know me: i'm smile (or nico), the guy behind everything related to design & product for annotate. we know you haven't heard from us in a while. trust me, we've seen your questions and concerns... you're wondering where we've gone, when the app will finally be out, and what went so wrong with our original timeline. let me start with this: annotate is still very much alive and happening. though things have been quiet on the outside, there have been SO many conversations inside our team that we've been working through the past couple weeks in order to get annotate in your hands. that being said, many of you probably know our solo developer, shrimp. unfortunately, she is going through a difficult time, which has required her to take a short break. we ask that you respect her privacy and send her nothing but love. annotate is being created and run by a very small team [...] (continued in next image's alt text)](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/HWOFv3zXUAAYTfJ.jpg?name=orig)

ALT Dear Friends, We know many of you have been eagerly waiting for Annotate: the official launch is taking a bit longer than what we had planned, and we wanted to apologise for that. Between the App Store's review process and the compliance requirements we need to meet for our European users, there's more red tape than what we had initially expected, which is pushing our original roadmap and deadlines. As a small, volunteer team with a single developer, rest assured that we're doing everything in our power to get Annotate into your hands as soon as possible. To make up for the delay, and to thank you for your patience, we're opening up 500 free tester spots. For this, please fill out our Google Form and join our Discord server, which is required to download the app! Our form will close in 24h. Team Annotate
