The sooner you realise, the faster you escape consumerism.
Consumerism kills like cigarettes one puff at a time. When you're already broke.

Had to work the whole midnight yesterday to fix a critical CVSS Score vulnerability.
It has become so common in the last few months.

OpenSource and Free Software are only as good as people contributing and using it.
If software stops serving the purpose it is supposed to, it's bound to be thrown in trash.
Proprietary code is not as bad as the FOSS evangelists want you to believe.

Multiple Debian developers have announced that they will be leaving Debian, or no longer maintaining Debian packages, following Debianโs use of LLMโs in scanning and evaluate new package uploads.
โhow is this not "Debian endorses the use of generative AI"?โ
โFor now, I will no longer be uploading to the #Debian NEW queue.โ

The C++26 ballot has failed. I am disappointed but not surprised.
The C++ standardization process has been broken for a long time, and it's only getting worse.
Over the last two years, a pattern has emerged in which arcane process has been used to avoid or silence the will of the majority.
It is time for a change. C++ leadership must exit ISO and establish an open and fair standardization process of their own.
Getting GPUs is hardest on AWS out of all the big three clouds....
You're stuck with either shit old-gen GPUs or extremely expensive tiers because the actual usable ones are unavailable...
