Trump no ha sido nunca liberal; es simplemente autoritario, pero en materia económica se inclina por el socialismo.

We want to clarify what we announced today about our education services. Today’s announcements give schools more choice, not less. Here’s what we announced:
- Gemini, Gemini Notebook, and Search will be OFF 🔴 by default. This is based on K-12 schools asking for more control over student use of AI services.
- Schools are in control: They can choose to turn ON 🟢 one, two, or all of these services individually.
- We are also updating Search for schools to make it better for learning. Specifically, AI Mode and AI Overviews will offer step-by-step guided learning through problems, so that students don’t get quick answers to schoolwork.
We know there’s concern about students using AI to shortcut schoolwork, and schools have told us they want control. That’s exactly why we are making these changes today to address the feedback we’ve heard from educators in recent months. And we’ll continue to engage deeply with educators to ensure we are giving schools more choice, more controls, and improved Search for learning.

Google's post claims schools can turn on Search independently from AI services like Gemini for more choice. Google executives stated Search and AI are deeply integrated, so schools enabling Search must accept AI features with no separate opt-out.

Y después logicamente se ostiarian entre ellos, pero primero el enemigo comun.

Germany's Chancellor Merz on Iran War:
We now have costs exceeding €100 billion for Europe alone over the last eight months, solely because of the increase in energy prices caused by this conflict.
More than €100 billion extra has been paid by businesses and consumers in Europe because energy has become more expensive as a result of this conflict.
We have an economic interest in bringing this conflict to an end as quickly as possible.

My view of the USSR (at least the late USSR) isn’t even that negative.
I think Gorbachev had the right idea and many Russians are worse off today — shock therapy was catastrophic.
But yeah not a system I’m really keen to reproduce again and would be cool to try something else!

Sam Altman criticizes people for keeping the world's limited supply of memory chips in their personal computers instead of relying on cloud data centers:
It's quite terrible to have everybody have a bunch of the world's limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer and being used 5% of the time.
You want maximum utilization in the cloud.
