Heliconia rostrata (Hanging Lobster Claw) 🖤🍂
‘Bali Flower Portraits - the poetry of form’ is a series grounded in both my artist practice and my botanist's training, using the age-old survival skill to correctly identify plants based on their form, shape and key features.
All 16 plants are captured with attention to form, and annotated with scientific collection data like below, saved in the nft meta data.
Heliconia rostrata Ruiz & Pav. (Hanging Lobster Claw) is a rhizomatous geophyte growing primarily in the wet tropical biome. Native to W. South America.
Collected and photographed in Pererenan, Bali, November 2025.
The works will be exhibited during 'Plants in vitro' in Galleri Argenteus, Copenhagen, from Nov. 2026-Jan.2027, and all funds from acquisitions of the digital originals will help me with the framing expenses for the printed editions for the show 🙏

Incredibly proud to be representing @mariafynsknorup through @hash_gallery on the release of this collection.
In my view, it’s nothing short of magical. I’ve always had a soft spot for old school botanical portraiture and I hope more of you will enjoy it too.

Do you like fractals?
Eigenfolds are fractal sculptures built in 4 different families, 4 densities, 6 palettes and 100 shapes, each grown from a mathematical rule that rewrites 4 letters again and again.
Counting the letters traces a path through four dimensions; seen from the right angle, it settles into a stable, self-similar form.
The sculptures are each rebuilt live from on-chain code every time they’re opened.

In the Ginzburg–Landau medium, paint denser than a threshold grows towards full strength while fainter paint decays to zero.
Every stage between generations spreads paint out: diffusion in the medium, the transport trail, turbulence, and the measurement scattering strokes.
Spreading lowers density so once a region drops under the threshold, the next generation deletes it.
