Started asking every seller what share of paying customers used the product in the last 30 days. The last one didn't track it.

My acquisition alert this morning: an AI app that rates your looks and gives you glow up tips.

Went through about 45 new Flippa listings in my range this week. Mostly YouTube channels and Facebook pages. Didn't write to any of them.

Read a SaaS listing where the seller wrote that about a third of subscribers cancel every month. The asking price still had five figures in it.

Microns emails me new listings every morning. Friday's had eight. Most had made under $3k in the last year.

A Shopify store listing showed a good year of profit. Most of the sales came while it was running Meta ads. The ads stopped months ago.

To buy an iPhone app my company needs its own Apple developer account. That meant a D-U-N-S number, a website and Apple checking the company exists. Started it before I had a deal.

Found out Stripe can't move subscriptions to a new owner. Now the first thing I ask on any SaaS is how the paying customers get from the seller's account to mine.

A founder whose first app just sold offered me their newer one. It had a few months of billing. Asked them to send it again once it has a year.

Looked at a newsletter with around 40k subscribers. Most of the money came from the founder's own workshops. He'd keep running those after the sale.

Passed on a scheduling tool I liked. Every message it sent went through an unofficial WhatsApp connection. If Meta changes something, the revenue is gone.

Ran my X search for anyone selling a small SaaS this morning. About 20 posts from the last week. Closest thing to a lead was a guy selling his underwear.

Watched a founder interview where the app's MRR was low five figures but it banks almost double that each month. The gap is lifetime deals. If I were buying it I'd only pay for the first number.

I read every file a seller sends before I'll get on a call. A couple calls never ended up happening because of it.

Every task on my to do list now says what I hand back, where it goes, and what happens after. Claude can't quite do everything yet, but we're iterating every day.
14
I have Claude running my deal search four times a day. It reads every reply and drafts every message. It can send my emails but not marketplace chats, so I'm still copy pasting into Flippa at 9pm.

Asked a seller how much of his revenue was renewals. He guessed most of it. His dashboard said about two thirds - still good, just not what he remembered.
14
Got excited about a seller's best month of the year. Turns out his site had been down a couple weeks and that month was every missed renewal going through at once.

About 40 new Flippa listings in my price range since Wednesday. 9 were YouTube channels, most of the rest were under a year old. No fits yet.
