i will speak on behalf of my man. It was early days of our dating. I was on meds and was bleeding heavily.
I got off from his car and I saw a huge stain on the seat (ps: i took all the precautions I can but still it leaked). I was embarrassed. I said sorry and said let me clean. He said - “no. I will take care of it. Don’t worry”. And he did took care of it.
I said sorry many times. He said - “why? ! Neha, this is the part of life. It is just a stain.”
You need to be a woman to understand “why”. Living alone in another city is always risky and getting friendly with people comes with its risk and rumours.
Ik many r*pe and murder cases happened coz woman trusted a guard , driver or cook.
In India, you cannot lower your guards at all.
Two girls in Gurugram fired their cook and told their society’s security guard that they were looking for a new cook.
So, he brought them dinner cooked by his wife.
It could simply be a kind gesture, especially since she herself says they have helped him many times before.
If they didn’t want it, they could’ve politely refused. But making a reel for attention and calling him creepy, imagine how he would feel if he saw this 😳
As a woman I feel this.
struggling with PMOS, and diabetes. Veg diet is hard. I was vegan for few years and it was helping my PMOS and pre-diabetes but now I had to give up and start having eggs to stabilised my blood sugar.
Glad that I had eggs as a kid. So, for me it was easier to re-start.
tofu and paneer was not helping me at all.
I m really mad at my vegetarian parents for raising me a vegetarian..I have vitamin, iron, zinc, magnesium and many more deficiencies now..I have many health issues like spondylitis, sciatica, restless legs ,poor sleep quality, lack of strength and many more and almost all of them are due to vitamin, iron deficiencies and lack of protein..Although,i have started eating non veg now but it’s very difficult to eat as a person who spent most of their lives growing pure vegetarian..OTOT,yesterday i was talking to my mom and she told me even she has the same issues and she does homeopathy for it..😭 When i m telling her about the deficiencies, she tells me to go for yoga and eat green veggies 🤡The entire genetics are rigged against us..😑
Update on my sugar:
1. I have started taking 1000mg metformin with dinner
2. My morning readings were off. So, changed my dinner to eggs and veggies
3. Morning is for carbs and smoothies
4. Lunch is a balanced meal (i try to keep it balanced) but many times I am not able to.
Today morning, hubby challenged me to write code without using AI or ide within a time limit.
Goal was to check how much AI has affected my coding speed and thinking.
Well I was able to write and I am super happy.
Hubby used to have 10x speed in coding but today he was slow thanks to AI.
I think this is going to be our morning activity now onwards
when I was a kiddo, my dad has v bad road accident coz of a stray dog suddenly jumped in front of of his scooter.
looking back, all the people who got to know about accident asked:
"was it a black dog?"
"chalo, dog took a huge bad luck on itself. You just got shoulder, and ribs broken."
instead of questioning the administration on - "why there are stray dogs?" and how unsafe it is :(
🚨 A stray dog runs across the road. The scooter rider falls hard, slides across the center line, and is hit by a car from the opposite lane.
⛑️ The helmet is what protects the head in moments like this.
Fall + oncoming traffic = a split-second danger you can't plan for. Helmet on, every ride, even for short trips.
Do you wear one on every ride?

good to see people are doing social activities as an adult.
we should respect, if someone doesn't want to have kids or get married...it is fine.
Everyone has their own life goals, dreams, and paths.
I've been actively fighting almost guaranteed age-related loneliness for years, studies show after age 30 you start seeing friends less and when you get older especially men don't have any social life left!
It's preventable, but it takes effort and initiative
We've now organized 70 weekly coworking days where we meet with friends and work together, do show and tell, and try help each other make things (also hardware stuff more recently)
We've also started organizing movie nights, art nights, barbecues, we watched the World Cup final on a projector screen in the garden with friends
We did a collage night the other day where we bought cheap gossip magazines, colored paper, and Pritt glue, and gave everyone scissors to make their own art, I think nobody spent time on their phone for at least 4 hours, making things puts you in a flow state and it's fun to do it in a group because you talk about different stuff while making things than you would for ex having a dinner
Movie nights are nice too but less popular I think cause everyone prefers to watch movies alone and also you can't really talk during a movie
Coworkings range from having sometimes 20 people to sometimes just 2 people, people have their own lives, but me and @rameerez still try to organize them weekly
One thing I realized is that we are usually the ones organizing stuff, but that's not a bad thing, there's even studies about this, there's usually a few people in a group who organize most of the events
If nobody in your group organizes stuff, it doesn't mean nobody wants to do stuff, but you have to take the initiative to bring people together which isn't easy in a time where phones and apps and the internet are simply easier and cheaper dopamine than driving to a friends house for a party
You can start with a coworking day, everyone brings their laptop, and you provide WiFi and coffee, then later you can try more types of events
Having an active social life is just as important or in some studies even more important for health than physical fitness
After a nice party I feel tired but satisfied, I had fun and didn't spend time on my phone or computer but instead talked and laughed with friends etc.
We don't drink alcohol with very few exceptions and nor do our friends, so it's mostly just having really nice food and sparkling water or kombucha etc, and we don't really need alcohol, after a few hours it gets fun enough anyway!
So I recommend everyone, take initiative, and organize something and get people together, it'll be fun! 😊
yesterday , I had my first ever flu vaccine.
me: why we never had this vaccine before?
hubby: we had Indian-immune. We don't need it but now our immune system is becoming more UK.
me: nice one.

so, I wanted to rt this for women in my network - please don't just earn but also invest.
I started investing v late in my life. You can start anytime. Now, with AI use it to understand the market, investment, returns, when to exit etc.
@__daijobou and I discuss investment, economy etc 100 times in a day. We both have different strategies but goal is same - earn money , while we are resting.
My goal is anything more than 0 is pretty good.
Replying to @CoderYouDie
(ps: I m not investing any longer in India)
> I have stock investment in UK and USA.
> I have a few "safe" and a few "medium/high" risk stocks
> gold (physical gold) - I think this is the best
> investment in real estate (I am not sure about this in India...you need to research for commercial use or residential rent)
A friend got call from a big org for an IC role (senior) London based role.
Interview process:
- No AI round
- 2 tech rounds : DSA , and system design
Would it be a possibility that in future frameworks and libraries will pay or collaborate with the frontier models to pick/suggest their frameworks/libs as a preferred tech stack
So, Dots from @OpenAI is here. Went through the docs and here is my tldr:
1. Available with pro plan ($89 plan)
2. It is AI-agent and you can spin your own
3. Backed by Astra (which is pretty good). Each Dot has its own cloud computer and browser, can connect to 4,000+ apps
4. We stay in the loop to approve, can set permission etc. And it is "Always ON"
will I use it? is it filling any gap which I have right now in my workflows? is claude or codex desktop is not enough? or Hermes
moving from $20 to $89 for this would make sense or not?
Small win 🥳
