ser capaz de traducir de abogado a ingeniero y de ingeniero a abogado es el nuevo superpoder del siglo XXI
This is a real disconnect. Working with lawyers they have a language and jargon most other humans do not understand.
Working with people in the AI space they have a jargon most other people do not understand.
The people who can communicate effectively and not in a synergy pitch deck of word vomit are going to win.
You need a problem and a solution.
We have all these amazing builders you need to find Larry. Larry is an estimator for commercial electric jobs. Larry has 3000 years of experience and uses excel for takeoffs. Latch onto Larry and build with this guy. He is the fucking alpha. End rant.

BREAKING:
This morning’s cyberattack against supermarket fridges and freezers has now spread to Belgium, Sweden, Luxembourg and Estonia.
The hackers increased the temperature up to 50C. Food worth millions of euros has been spoiled.
Experts warn that such cyberattacks on supply chains and logistics can constitute a threat to national food security in many Western states.

Never let Claude run wild on the privacy policy or legal pages on your website.
Opus 5.5, and other Claude models in general, are so knee deep into moral policing it can genuinely land you in hot water.
> it will get way too specific about how your work happens internally
> it will add promises and guarantees you didn’t want enforced
> it went as far as adding my name in the policy page
> it listed out all the third party tools that we have integrated too, basically showing our entire stack
It is built to write from the customer side by default, it said so when I pressed it. Just be careful.

We always wanted more access to justice, more access to government.
My paper, Judicial Economy in the Age of AI, is about the impending strain on government resources, specifically courts, created by AI tools.
It predicts that courts will have to put up barriers to weather the AI storm, and that these barriers will harm individual rights.
We now have evidence of huge pressure building up on courts and government services.
There is a solution. You may not like it, but you will surely hate the alternative. We need to integrate AI quickly into our courts and agencies.
I’ve been talking to court administrators, judges, and others about solutions. If you are working in this space, I’m happy to talk more about how to build these new institutions.

bingo!
no podes estar con Dios (in-house) y con el diablo (estudios jurídicos)
When you’re building legal ai for both law firms and in house teams (who use the legal ai to do the work internally and send less work to law firms) you’re inherently in a conflict of interest/incestuous relationship with your customers. I’ve posted about this before. It was the case before Intake but with Intake being released the allocation and visibility of the in house legal work (with the data to support it) just got very specific, efficient, and visible to the in house team/stakeholders which will lead to more work being done in house and outside legal spend decisions.
This inherent conflict of interest/incestuous relationship will just get deeper as legal ai companies go deeper into in-house workflows. Curious to see if and how this impacts any product decisions as well as decisions by law firms as to which platform they will use.

Talked to a finance guy today who said his firm has not only totally stopped buying software in favor of building it all in-house, they've actually hired multiple SWEs to do the buildouts, even though their salaries cost more than the subscription fees they were paying. Having tools custom-built for their specific business is just that valuable. So they're not spending less money or saving time, versus the pre-AI world, but they're getting a much higher return on the money and time they are spending. Much to ponder
