New York has been the center of American finance for 200 years.
That's not an accident. It's the reason our subways run, our schools get funded, and our city matters on the world stage.
Texas wants to take that away. The Texas Stock Exchange just landed its first primary listings, pulled straight from NYSE Arca.
NYSE and Nasdaq have both opened Texas venues to compete for business. Goldman Sachs is building a campus in Dallas for 5,000 employees. Morgan Stanley is putting up a $1.3 billion tower there.
This is real, and it's happening now. Every listing that leaves, every back-office job that moves south, is a job and a tax dollar we don't easily get back.
New York doesn't win by assuming companies have nowhere else to go. We win by keeping taxes competitive, cutting regulatory overreach, and making clear this is still where finance belongs.
If we don't compete, we lose. Working New Yorkers lose first.

Another reason why we must elect Blakeman @NassauExec for Governor and Komatireddy @sarithaforny for Attorney General.
